At 44:30, the speaker says Abdul Kalam sends a proposal to GoI for a Defence R & D Agency. At 46:27, he says Indira Gandhi appoints Kalam as first Director of DRDA (DRDO?). DRDO was formed in 1958, Kalam must have been 27 at that time ! Kalam joined ADE wing of DRDO as a scientist only in 1960. Kalam was 38 around 1969-70 . In 1969, Kalam was made project director of SLV and he made a proposal to expand the project with more engineers. Did Mr Alexander Jacob mix that up being appointed as Director of DRDO ? I dont think Kalam was Director of either DRDO or ISRO at any time. Hewas Director of various projects/programs, like missile programs and some of secret nature and India Gandhi did approve funds many times without waiting for a formal cabinet approval, but surprised to hear from the speaker to the effect of DRDO
