Drummer Alex Riel plays a long improvised drum solo in front of an enthusiastic audience in his tiny hometown of Liseleje, Denmark.
The solo is from a concert where Alex Riel - one of Europe's leading jazz drummers - had teamed up with his fellow Liseleje residents guitarist Billy Cross and bassist Ole Bredahl to play a one-off rock gig for the locals .. in the pouring rain.

Han er bare super...der er Alex Riel, og Anthon Fig de er af den gamle skole og de kan bare spille inden for alle genre. Absolut 2 af verdens bedste på trommer. RESPEKT!

"Maybe in the top 500 of all time.' ?? I've been listening to drum solos for over 50 years & this drum solo is one of the greatest drum solos I've heard considering he's a blond blue eyed 67 year old Viking! The ancient Vikings kicked everybody's ass - the Romans included. They were bad mother%$#@ers. Don't you know about how they conquered England? After watching this video I now know why those ancient Vikings were such bad (tough) mother^%$#ers!
