Alex Novitski was born and raised in Minsk, USSR. Twelve years ago Alex immigrated to Toronto, where he works as freelance illustrator, graphic artist and animator. To say that “Novitski is accomplished and a star in his medium,” is an understatement. His graphic works have been exhibited in: Toronto, Copenhagen, Berlin, Minsk and Washington DC. His illustrations, cover art and comic strips have been featured in a variety of publications. Recently Novitski’s comic strip - ’After School’ won a first place at the Wizard World Toronto Comic Con Art Contest in April 2012. In 2002, the Russian Academy of Internet had nominated his interactive book “Fig-Tree” to the first prize in a category “Net-Art”, to just name a few. Novitski has also won several prizes and nominations as a 2D animator.
