Today Trance is not listened by many people (in the past it was), and most big trance dj/producers changed their style (from trance to commercial house, even deep house, or big-room electro-house). Even Paul van Dyk on the Evolution album didn't have too many trance songs. Most of them were kinda cheesy, housey and commercial. But now he is back again, more trancy than ever :D And this collab is so great!

I got into PVD back in the late 90s and early 2000s. When I heard that one called esssntial trance music volume 1 and 2 When I heard that come out it really did change my life . It was around the time in the 90s when trance and techno was getting a lot of looks. When swordfish the movie came out and you had Paul okenfold doing that soundtrack that was awesome, that’s what brought me to trance music. And PVD is the goat 🐐 no questions asked ! Essential trance was something I think we all fell in love with and forever be our fav sound and a signature style that only Paul can pull Off ! So when I heard this I was like, thank god he is still keeping it legit with that old school shit, but with a new school flare to It It’s a perfect mix of both. Thank u for all the inspirational moments in My life that your music thru working out and meditation or just drivin down the road listening pulled me thru

I've been listening to trance for a very, very long time. I've probably heard a pretty high percentage of all trance music that's been made. And I agree. This is right - right - up there.
So, this is it...i know that Alex and Paul are always at their best when making music together, but this happens to be their greatest collaboration yet...what a fantastical Uplifter, full of melodies and emotions, i rarely hear something like this that is so full of energy and creativity!
Still listening to this after 5000 times! You can never get tired of the real Trance sound!

Just want to re-state my total love for this amazing track. Seriously one of the best pieces of trance of the last ten years. Longer. I quite often try to convert non-trance fans. I have various go-to tracks to try and persuade people of why this genre is so great. But increasingly I just use this one - it has a pretty much 100% success rate.

Paul's club mixes are always top notch material, and that's where it's at really. Sure, his singles and collabs have incorporated modern, commercial elements. However, get Paul behind the decks and he'll play nothing but banging, melodic, euphoric music. There's nothing to worry about Paul straying away from his patented sound in terms of live sets

I live in Frankfurt/Main and in the years before Corona the music was a mix between southamerican party sound and mallorca tourist music, or plain rap. Disguisting, but i still managed to have fun anyhow by dancing and people. But when i imagine i would have had this music, guess i would have gotten unconscious on the dancefloor.

This is just superb - that melody...there's something familiar and nostalgic about it but I can't for the life of me pin down exactly what it is. Driving me nuts...
2:00 - 4:00 is possibly the best build up and smooth drop in trance. Subtle initially, not dropping so much as smoothly transitioning and then ..... just holding the beat .... until dropping at 3:50 I wish this had been around in 1998-2005, my main time of clubbing.

PVD is the reason I love and discovered Trance back in the day when I first heard his Binary Finary remix off the Vorsprung Dyk Technik album. It changed my life and no drug or amount of $ has ever given me the euphoria it has and still does. Nothing has come particularly close to even matching it let alone knocking it from the #1 slot but this track comes damn close. A masterpiece woven together by two legends. Thank you guys, more more more!!!
