In the late 2020 I was invited to take part as contestant in the TV show Italia's Got Talent. At first, when I got asked, I was a bit reluctant, for I was not familiar with this format - as I do not watch the telly since last century - and I had mixed feelings about the concept of the talent show.
Eventually I thought it would be good to go and talk a little bit about one instrument which is often overlooked - as opposed to show off a supposed talent - and bring the bass to a wider audience with the hope to inspire and make more people curious about this beautiful instrument.
