"Adult Cerimony" is a song by Park Ji-Yoon. It is the first track and serves as the title track from their fourth mini album "Coming of Age Cerimony".
It was released in early 2000.
The song is about a young woman finally embracing her adulthood and expressing her love for someone who has been waiting for her.
The song is currently known as a rite of passage for K-Pop idols. Most female idols perform the song when they turn 20, the legal age in Korea. The song is popular as a special stage, usually at end-of-year ceremonies or solo concerts and has been covered from many idols, inclused by Jimin & Jung Kook from BTS.
