Don't ever think your not a hero firefighter I was a volunteer firefighter I know what it's like to have something ripped away from u keep your chin up much salute keep it going from one brother to another don't give up

Dude, you are a hero. You are willing to lay down your life for people who you may not have ever even met. Being a firefighter is one of the most dangerous careers out there, there aren't too many firefighters who can say they havent been hurt on the job.

What a wonderful story and amazing young man! I hope he's healed completely and back at the fire house doing what he loves! Hats off to everyone that made this hero's dream come true!!

I think what this young man is doing, is EXTREMELY important. I myself, am disabled. But I was born with my disability.

I can understand how he says he's not a hero. My dad was nypd through the 93 bombing of rhe wtc. He was there for 9/11. He always says I was there to do my job. I consider him a hero just like this kid yea he got hurt but he was there to help people. Hes a hero I love the flag. God bless the south

I feel off a 2 story roof. I used to be a painter and the guy I worked for miss sat the ladder. I was lucky I broke my leg in Three places, l have a fake left hip had back surgery right shoulder surgery. God was looking out for you good luck in your recovery.

He's not a kid - he's a young man who absolutely loves his job and will fight his way through this to get back to do it - his dedication to the job is so commendable - I hope he enjoyed seeing Garth Brooks- think that would have been a good part of the mental therapy after going through something so traumatic as he did 👍🏿 around the world we need to treat our first responders with respect and so much thanks ❤️

Tommy, Sorry to hear this! Glad he is doing better 💙💙 Our Dad fell of a bridge when my brother and I were 6&8. He had traumatic brain injury. He fell off the Kennedy bridge in Louisville Kentucky. Was in a institution of some kind for 22 1/2 years. Hug your Daddy, ❤️❤️ Could you give a really big hug from me, to Thank A HERO. God Bless your family ❤️💙❤️💙

@@annbreen1910 Calm yourself down, I have watched the first part of it again and realize that I must not have paid close attention to what they were telling him. My husband has been a volunteer firefighter for 25 years, he was an ambulance driver for 5 years and after that became a certified EMT. He was only able to do that for 5 years due to an injury. He has also been injured at the scene of a fire, he was chopping a hole through the roof of a house, and much of the wood was already burning and he all but fell through the hole into the fire. Thankfully his harness kept him from going through. He was nearly killed twice in a matter of minutes while at the scene of a car accident on roads that were pure ice. A couple of cars came down the hill, both lost control as their cars spun out of control, and thankfully none of the men there were hurt while rescuing the people in the vehicles. So please put away your fucking attitude.

I remember this .I went to the same Pittsburgh show he was at .I actually heard about his accident in the hotel room I was staying in the night before my second show i believe .I'm glad he got to go

I never knew this but the slender of the two white oak ems emts is my step daughters. Husband. He’s never spoken of this to me

can anyone out there give an update on Alex? this was filmed back in 2015 ,i just wanted to see how he was doing in 2021 and if hes still being a hero for his community

I hope your recovery is great. I got injuries on the job ( FD 12/23/09). No more full-time firefighter for me -- medical retirements due the natural of my injuries. 2 ( two disks damaged & replaced) & torn my rotator cuff 2" (two inches). Yes this happened on the job.

All the fire fighter are all heroes they have a hard job to do I just want to say to all my heros thank you and all preys go out to the fire fighters

Performers almost always have "receiving" in their dressing rooms after live concerts---sometimes by invitation only, sometimes for audience members in general, depending upon how big a star the performer is. Even Streisand would have receiving by invitation when she performed live concerts. Are you actually telling me that Garth Brooks didn't invite this amazing young man backstage after his concert?!
