exactly omg remember when he said to the hostess that he couldn't hook up, not only bc he didn't want a serious relationship, but also bc the bar was rlly busy. and when gigi came in, he was listening to her and everything

The casting of these two was so spot on its genius. Neither would be "punching above" both actors are on an equal footing engagement wise, and you believe their relationship. Seeing this again made me she'd a tear a bit and reminded me of when I first met my now husband, it was all just easy from day one, no games, just two people who genuinely connected from day one, and funnily enough, we both just ' knew' from early on. 10 years married this autumn ❤ Single women should drill Alex's advice into their heads though. When the right one comes along at the right time, you don't have these questions or insecurities, it just works. ❤❤

I jist want them to be in one movie again, theirs and Jennifer and Ben's storyline is the reason I've watch the movie hundred times

Yeah .. couldn't stand the scar jo storyline... but I'm glad drew and E from entourage got together at the end. His open house where the gay couple gave him advice was hilarious ... hand me an oatmeal raisin.

to me it looks like something passed between them 0:08 and 0:15. Her eye contact is intense and vulnerable and he’s totally drawn in. Then she tries to leave and he stops her.

What I learn is that love yourself first, and love will come to you.. make yourself better so you will be desirable rather than throwing yourself to people.. And never assume, unless a guy tell you that he loves you.. Btw,this is my fave movie🖤

It's hard to believe that there are so many young, single guys not wanting to pursue a relationship with pretty, sweet, caring Gigi. If I were young and single, I would definitely be quite interested--almost like dating Snow White.

I feel so much like Gigi. Can't imagine how much it must hurt to get rejected. Only to get told that those who reject her really do not like her. But honestly, until the end I could not really feel the chemistry between them. I think that was on purpose as if we were taking his position (only realising very late that he had feelings for her). I like the final thought, that you should not aim to replicate anyone elses lovestory but instead make your own individual one.

A toxic one? You should want a relationship where your feelings don't get played and where the other person knows from the very beginning what he/she feels and not go in circles to make you feel like you are crazy and you fell in love with someone who somehow doesn't feel the same

The reason for a guy turns into an Alex, is mostly because he’s been broken by chasing his Gigi. That’s why he felt so in necessity to help and ended up liking her. They both need a bit of what each other has to reach balance. I don’t use to like romantic movies, but this one has a good message after all.

If you just realized what I just realized, then we will be perfect for each other, and we will never find the other. Alex seemed to realize his mistake, and tried to contact Gigi. But Gigi never answered. Gigi, who is trying to move on from her broken heart, begins to open her heart to other men. And accepted a date from a single guy her age. After the date, Gigi found a knock on her apartment door. It turned out that the one present was Alex. Gigi felt awkward about how to behave to Alex. But Alex immediately melted the ice of the atmosphere. Alex said that he apologized to Gigi for his statement at that time. Alex realizes that he can't forget Gigi, and Gigi has meant so much to his life. His life has changed since he met Gigi. Alex felt too proud to admit his feelings. @@welltune_studio Oh no. You misunderstand me. I wasn't chastising u for not mentioning the others. I was applauding you for it. These are the two I remember whenever I think of that movie. Casting in rom coms matters a lot and just throwing in Hollywood heavyweights like Ben Afleck doesn't mean success. Justin Long and Ginnifer really sold their love in this movie and that's why I believe everyone not only remembers them but relates to them.

He's not "insensitive and indifferent," that's the persona he projects in order to protect himself emotionally. Gigi just wants to have a guy who will care for her and treat her right, I don't consider that being "codependent and needy."

Totally. Definitely codependent and needy. Probably they had a lot in common. Maybe Gigi was so pathetic and upfront that Alex felt like he could trust her, be himself around her? I would imagine as someone so cynical and closed off it might be attractive to find someone gorgeous and genuine and sweet. Perhaps she's like his mother?

I don't think she was codependant nor needy, she just was a hopeless romantic who was too desperate to find true love. He was the opposite but found out helping her was interesting and fun. She was open about her feelings and straightforward, and didn't hesitate to tell him the hard truth. All of that was enough to make him fall for her
