Please Help I’m thinking of switching to an E kit exclusively because I cannot hear my acoustic drums through my in ears and Mics without turning the volume of the music up too loud and further damaging my hearing the bleed is too much even with custom in ear monitors and gunshot headphones over that When I’m just practicing I like to just sit behind the kit with no hearing protection any hearing protection I’ve ever used makes the drum sound crappy so I just play cold turkey. I can’t do this anymore my tinnitus is really bad. I’ve done that through my whole childhood. I’m 44 now I played on the Alesis strata prime at guitar Center, but I could only play on it a little bit with no songs to play along too just drums From what little I played on it I very much liked it Is it safe to assume that if I got an kit with headphones on playing music through with drum-less tracks that I would be able to hear much better and have better clarity and a better experience than my current set up with Drum and Mics what would be the difference between the two in clarity balance of sound with playing along to songs with in ears or headphones in your experience? Also can you make the rims on the Alesis Strata Prime sound like efx cymbals splash/china etc or can they only be made to sound like rim?crossstick clicks THANK YOU to anyone for responding I appreciate it.

I can only speak on the headphone clarity here. An ekit is definitely a safer option for the ears. Alos u can adjust the volume of the music and the kit independently so it's all in your control. Many options really. Example. I use my phone to play drumless music on you tube. I Bluetooth it to the module. Volume option on my phone is an option. Plus this module has mixer that you can adjust the volume of your phone going in through blue tooth. Then there is a main volume for the drums and music and a volume for just drums and each individual drum cymbal. Also, volume for ambients, reverb, and the effects set to the kit selected. All individual adjustments can be made. Hope that helps man

1 more thing, the headphone trim option in the mixer can increase the music clarity as well.

destruction of the original drum kit .. technology wins everytime.. Now the drummer can push as many buttons as the music producer... What a piece of trash

Listen, I understand you being annoyed and even scarred with how bad modern music is and the direction it could go in… BUT you gotta understand these type of kits are better than ever for just practicing at your house! I had an awesome mother that let me play for six hours a day but do you can only imagine how my brothers and sisters felt about it! 110 to 130db blasting through the house for 7 years 😢😂😮😊 but it would’ve been a much better situation if I had one to three hours on an acoustic set and a few hours on an electronic set. Of course, you can sound proof rooms and play lower and not tune your drums wide open, but of course the average teenager even playing bop is hitting 105 to 110db. Also, i’ve watched probably every video there is on this kit and there’s quite a few drum sets that sound phenomenal for an electronic kit. IF I had to play the kit at 3:00 I’d be satisfied for practice but there’s also a Roto kit that’s so bad ass a kit for playing speed metal, a studio sounding kit a warmer vintage kit.
