Hi John! nice, very good combination! i use alesis drums and ezdrummer for my instrumentals for years and now both are upgraded and better 💥

Everything looks good with exception to your placement of the kick pedal. The plastic side is supposed to hit the pad, not the felt side which can deteriorate your pad pretty quickly.

Yes you are right, thanks for mention it, i use to know that but i have installed a rubber tenis ball kicker in my other alesis for years and i forgot it kzread.info/dash/bejne/ept9rbpxdsnLqaw.html

FYI you need to turn the beater around so that the black hard side hits the kicker drum not the felt side because the felt side is for mesh kickers !!!

Great video! I just ordered one aswell, can't wait to jam out and learn. I'll have to get another cymbal for it though, does it have to be alesis or can I buy a dual zone and connect it to the module?

Thank you! yes i think it works with a different brand too, all the parts sending simple midi information to the module, i have a mesh kick pedal from other brand and works fine

How to activate the bell on the ride cymbal?

i think the ride cymbal is single zone must be dual zone to have bell and trigger second sound, you can buy and install a dual zone and connect it to the module cymbal input, you can get a different brand i have a millenium kick mesh pad in my nitro kit
