The only way I can think of paying bills without a bank account is to buy visa gift cards or equivalent with cash, then pay each one with the card. But one would need an online account for every bill.

If you have direct deposit from your employment, better rethink it. I expect more banks will charge you for direct deposits. Them ATMs use will cost you. Are the emergency generators hooked up to ATMs? Better have cash and metals at home to buffer the closers. Diversify your banks.

if i am right, the guy who started Commerce Bank near Philly sold it to TD Bank, then started First REpublic Bank. The name of the guy is Vernon. It's a shame, i've met him a time or two, seems like a nice guy. I guess they sold it/ handed it to Fulton. I've seen them around, never used them. Oh well.
