    Thanks a million, Tony! So why couldn't we use the concentration of the Br- ion (Ksp) in the final ice table for the last calculation?

    Hi! If I'm understanding your question correctly - I think the easiest explanation is that we should treat these as two separate problems, and in the second one we're really setting things up "from scratch" aka "starting the calculation over" - you are right to think that the Br- ion is going into solution based on the Ksp calculation, but that is sort of being automatically taken into account in the second calculation when we combine the equilibrium expressions. I hope that makes at least a little bit of sense!
