Alejandro Aranda is so unique for so many reasons. Virtuoso musician, great composer and to top it all, an unbelievably humble person. Homie, never, EVER stop being you. This World Needs You! You really ARE an American Treasure !!

I am in my mid 50's and have seen some good talent thru the years and this young man is surely unique and very gifted, probably more than he even realizes. Mr. Richie said, he was not auditioning, he was being discovered and I hope this young man has a bright future. People like this don't come around often. His humility is truly his best gift and that will have him go very far.

What's so cool about Alejandro is that during his 4 year journeyman ship. He's been filming his progression as a sort of journal for himself. Hence, his studies in journalism, his visual mixing out music & animes, and more importantly his Aranda arrangements. This kid is extremely intelligent, he understands music theory & practice, and he learned himself. That would be it 4me, but not Alejandro. He's on some sort of "Vision quest", I'm just happy another "truly honest", human is HAPPY and found his happy place(s)! He stands on his own, among giants in his industry and with people who believe in him & those that do not, heart & soul...Aranda stanza!!!

@@tooled68 I was wondering about that myself, wondering how he really feels, and today there's a new article where all 5 tell why you should vote for them, and his is really simple - he feels like he could be himself as American Idol, and he could afford equipment. Some people say he could do those better without the Idol contract, but I personally respect his intelligence enough to imagine he's thought this through and believes that he could do it as Idol. I'll vote for him, but I do think he'll still make it either way. I just know how expensive it is to live in this town and I'd hate for him to go back to menial jobs to make a living even for a day. Some of those jobs are dangerous, and he needs all his fingers. It's easy to say he'll get a contract, but there are sure a lot of talented people working other jobs in LA waitng for that contract.JMO

I'm a filipina from the land of great singers lol. We have our own Idol Philippines but I am still watching American Idol because of him, Alejandro. Alejandro and Lukas Graham are the two men I know that I can listen all day. Love his voice!

The gift of song and music comes out of his pores. He does not have to try so hard to be perfect...he just is. I am hoping he goes all the way to #1. There is no one like him out there and I would love to see him sing LIVE.

You give me chills. And I’ve been humming “out loud” since I heard it. Unheard of for me to pick up a melody after 3 listens but you are a very unusual talented young man that makes beautiful notes fly across the sky.

aslobos I think so too! I like it better than I Fall Apart. Although both are great. The Yellow performance was so simple, so poignant and precious. No belting notes but his voice is in the chords and it flows so beautifully

Yeah, that would have not helped his cause or any of them. I had orginally thought that maybe he had requested not to be in the group cause of his shyness was still strong back then. Glad the judges saw past that and now look at where he is. 😀

I love that Idol producers used his performance of Cold Play's "Yellow" to summarize his journey thus far. It has not received the most watches, but I have gone back and watched it easily the most of all his performances as I felt drawn to it the most. Vocally, he is at his best in that performance.

Once he wins A.I. (regardless) we will hear beautiful music emanating(heck it's happening already) from this kid. I'm just glad I'm alive during these times to experience it.
