Dreamers' Circus member Ale Carr performs the tune 'Pärlepolskan' composed by the great Swedish guitarist Roger Tallroth, known from his work with the band Väsen. Roger was Ale's teacher and mentor back in 2008/2009 as he studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, and Ale has played this beautiful polska on and off since back then. Roger also produced the first EP by Dreamers' Circus released in 2010.

    Almost, it's got an extra pair of strings in the bottom end as well, so five courses, and the tuning is DGDAD. It's called a cittern :-)

    Wonderful execution. How is your fret-wear? Ådin might have to re-fret that beast, or adjust the nut and/or bridge. Especially on your second course of strings, there's consistent loss of syntony. I've found it on my flamenco guitar: sounds fine "open", but when I capo III or V, the slight difference (due to fret) wear causes the intonation to be off. Best wishes.

    Thanks! I know what you mean. My fret wear is terrible on the first course, but hopefully this will get better the next time we re-fret as we'll be going for bronze frets then (SINTOM). With regards to the second course I think it's mainly caused by me applying too much finger pressure :-) An old habit from playing all these ornaments which requires full force. This is also what causes the fret wear on the first course. Thanks for the feedback!
