The look of utter joy on your face when the full steam came on was a sight to behold! ...and I watched it to the end. I don't do ironing either, I'm allergic to it.

I have a slightly different steamer, and I love it! I do NOT iron clothes! So, steaming is great! I don't think you have to have the attachments on everytime (mine didn't even come with any attachments)... the brush probably helps more with sweaters and thick wools and the soft piece for items you wish to de-fuzz. I use my steamer vents right on the fabric. It is also great for steaming furniture to freshen it up. I like to spray a spritz of my favorite essential oils mixed with water. I mist the surface and leave in a bit if it needs more refreshing. Then, steam as you would clothes. Also great for curtains (shower curtain, too), rugs, bedspreads, tablecloths, pet beds.... so many uses! Finally , if someone is ill in the home, you may blast areas to disinfect... check the temp guide on your machine and online tips to see what temp is sufficient for sanitizing .... I'm sure it would be fine. Enjoy your steamer!

Saw you "having a play!!" with this on Instagram so had to come over and see your demo on here... I think it would be great for curtains, duvet covers and any other large items... I do have an iron which is older than my daughter and she's 13!!! I would probably use my comfort iron water in the steamer for that extra scent boost and it's probably better than tap water as that can cause limescale build up in hard water areas... still wish it was suitable for use on my face and iron out the wrinkles there!!!!! Fab unboxing... Thank you for sharing xx

Firstly, thank you very much Mr Carrington for taking the time and effort to make this unboxing and review of the Steamer. It is very much appreciated as they are going on special here in Australia in a couple weeks and I think I'll buy one after seeing your video. Well done and a BIG thumbs 👍up. Cheers. P.S. loved the bloopers at the end also.

I've had my steamer for a week now and I love it! Zero buyer's remorse! It's made by Yika but very similar to your Aldi. I found a fast and easy way to do the shirt sleeves and the sides. When you're done steaming the shirt's collar and front, hold one sleeve over the chest so that the *back side* of the sleeve is facing you. Steam that out then repeat for the other side. I use a clothespin to hold the sleeves to avoid getting burned by steam. Other tips; Don't steam as if you're painting a fence, go slow. Use ONLY distilled water. You will actually get more steam plus life expectancy without minerals saving you headaches later.

I love your “oops” takes at the end, they always make me chuckle, you can actually buy Fabreez bottled water for irons & steamers in Tesco and it smells lovely, doesn’t cost much either, just in case your interested, I use it in my iron and it’s never clogged it up. 🤗

I highly, highly recommend using distilled water to avoid lime deposit build-up in the device’s steam holes and then lime can end up on clothing and device gets clogged. Even if they say you can use tap water, I wouldn’t trust it-of course they want you to have to buy another one. Happy steaming :)

You should be required viewing for anyone whose had a bad day; you make me laugh & smile from ear to ear. Tips for you from a long time user of steaming: ironing & steaming are symbiotic so do both; watch your hands with steaming - it hurts!; do up the garment completely before you start & use a large hangar; hang it above your head & use it at the height of a hairdryer; be prepared to hold the hangar hook to facilitate accessing the awkward bits but don’t steam your hand!!! Always leave the garment to dry naturally afterwards otherwise it will crease again easily: never put garment away until it is completely dry or you will get damp in your wardrobe. Steamers are the best for going away & for emergency ironing at home. Thank you for another fab video. ❤️❤️❤️

There are several vertical garment steamers that have written in their descriptions "one-year lifespan." Are all garment steamers like that or just those ones? And is that short lifespan related to the fact that it's a vertical steamer?

I bought a steamer about 20 years ago. Probably used it twice and have no idea where it is. Unless you are working with delicate fabrics, ironing is much easier and faster, with better results, imo. But, I don't really do that either these days. Regardless, I hope yours works out great for you.

The US Aldi is different from the UK and Europe Aldi, Aldi Sud and Aldi Nord, but you may get something similar xxx

P.S. please watch out for your plants. I'm not sure if hot steam will affect them, but just be cautious.🥀

I think it would work even better if you linger longer - move it up and down the garment a bit slower. Good video ;-)

I've just burnt my best shirt - very expensive fail. It was almost brand new and was burnt with a conventional steam iron. Had to throw the shirt out. It was an iron that is applied directly to the material. F***! Just bought one of these and a NEW SHIRT.

Video just in time! I've just machine washed my bedroom curtains ( took a risk as is said dry clean only !) they came up great and very little creasing, so I thought I I need a steamer and then you popped up with this little gem , so will be ordering one of these!! You do make me laugh with your bloopers 😂xxxx

I use Aldi's products and if you don't like them or they don't work you can return to store for a refund for those who don't know. I won't be buying this as I have an iron with vertical steam function which I have used on suits(jacket buttoned up and steam from inside)and shirts also buttoned up and steamed from inside. I watched to the end as your bloopers are so funny. Gentle Hugs.

I don't own an iron either or a dry buddy. Life is too short for ironing.

I just got one at a sale new in the box....not impressed. I like steamers....just not this one......barely any steam comes out...it does get hot and if you hold it against it there is just enough to sort of steam it. I think it is a defective as if I hold it sideways I can barely see any steam coming out and that is not the normal way they work.
