The “aa” approach is literally to turn your life and will to God and then repent of all the sins in your heart and confess them. Then go out and make amends for the harm you caused. And then go see where religious people are right and make use of what they offer- and in 1939 in America there was only one religion anyone was familiar with. then go help others, pray, seek Gods will and and repent/confess daily. AA puts the Bible into action because it came from the Bible. The reason why it only works like “stabbing a squirrel twice in a dark shed” is because few ppl are willing to do what the Bible says to do… both inside and outside of aa and the church. It saddens me when Christians who know nothing about those steps or their history impose these ideas they have about them. If you’re not experienced in something, don’t offer an opinion on it.

@@ChristinaRubinoMusic I totally disagree. AA is a cult. At my group, quoting the Bible is discouraged. As for as confessing my sins, I do that to Jesus. Jesus only. I’m praying for you.

The big book says there’s more gods than members of AA. Not so. Only one God

AA has become secularized with time but more biblically based 12 step programs like celebrate recovery are available that are amazing!

This is backed from ignorance and lack of research. You’ve clearly never read the big book or looked at AA history, it comes from the Bible. Please do your due diligence before you talk about something you clearly don’t know anything about, AA groups do more in discipleship and service than most churches. And I am a follower of Christ and AA gave me freedom to pursue him. Please don’t spread misinformation and ignorant judgment on something that has saved MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS of lives, families, and souls.

No matter how it started, the program has all the markings of a cult. It openly encouraged idolatry. It tells people to invent a God that they are comfortable with instead of seeking strength and victory from the only true God. It tells people that they will never be victorious over their sin, and no matter what they always remain alcoholics. It encourages people to live in defeat and to carry their burdens and work to make amends...all the things are opposite of what the Bible teaches... the Bible says that there is freedom in salvation and that Jesus can heal all wounds and carry every burden...It is a good thing that they help people stay sober. However, if all they get is a lifetime of sobereity and then still end up in hell then honestly how much good is the program doing?

AA clearly violates the 1st commandment, "You shall have no other gods before me". There is 1 God and besides Him there is no other. The program encourages people to create their own god. That makes it a cult. What does it matter if someone gets sober but then ends up losing his soul?

@@themahrsHallelujah!! I'm repenting of this occultic-based pagan group presently. The enemy comes disguised as an angel of light to kill, steal, and destroy. All successful cults manipulate some scripture. Their literature IS NOT biblically sound. A lie from the pit. Lord Jesus, please open the eyes of the lost to the truth of your Gospel! ✝️❤️‍🔥In Jesus' mighty name! Amen
