STEP 1
We admitted we were
powerless over alcohol - that
our lives had become
unmanageable.
STEP 2
Came to believe that a Power
greater than ourselves could
restore us to sanity
STEP 3
Made a decision to turn our
will and our lives over to the
care of God as we understood
Him.
STEP 4
Made a searching and fearless
moral inventory of ourselves.
STEP 5
Admitted to God, to ourselves,
and to another human being
the exact nature of our wrongs.
STEP 6
Were entirely ready to have
God remove all these defects
of character.
STEP 7
Humbly asked Him to remove
our shortcomings.
STEP 8
Made a list of all persons we
had harmed, and became
willing to make amends to
them all.
STEP 9
Made direct amends to such
people wherever possible,
except when to do so would
injure them or others.
STEP 10
Continued to take personal
inventory and when we were
wrong promptly admitted it.
STEP 11
Sought through prayer and
meditation to improve our
conscious contact with God as
we understood Him, praying
only for knowledge of
His will for us and the power
to carry that out.
STEP 12
Having had a spiritual
awakening as the result of
these steps, we tried to
carry this message to
alcoholics, and to practice
these principles in all
our affairs.

Thanks Cris. I got ostracized because of talking about Recovery when people wanted to use the meetings as a social club. Spinning opinions. Called me a BB Thumpper and proud of it. They almost killed me. You and Mark H are my favorite speakers. Rock on. I hope to see you at Dennys someday. I hold my sobriety dear. Rock on. Bob

Well done Bob and I am sick of sitting in the rooms and hearing about everything else but the solution to the illness of addiction..I listened to the 3 speakers at the meeting earlier and I heard 3 speakers talking about the drugs drama and spend a total of 4 minutes out of the 45 minutes they spoke between them to say about the solution. I have no words for that mate.

I have seen you are on the spiritual path from reading your words and I say, if you are then you are saying, thanks Chris for keeping you sober today ? Wish I could have someone who could do this for myself

Me neither. But since I heard you, a day at a time, I’m a real alcoholic. God could and would if he were sought

So true that the programme is totally different to the way of the past and I have slowly watched it watered down and the people who are real alcoholics and addicts die.... If you can stay clean without a spiritual awakening from doing the steps and the programme daily or perish from the illness then you are not a real addict who has the illness of addiction. Simple. A so called real addict said to me, how can you smoke crack in this hot weather..... wow.

I have to say I appreciate Chris' zeal but he sounds like a spaz and if he was speaking at my first AA meeting I would've probably walked out and never came back. Not my cup of tea but if he helps someone good for him ❤
