Yeah the best views on the boat and of the sunset. But also extra activities on the Island during the night tour. So all in all a great bargain. And we love bargains😂😂😂😂

Hahaha so funny - I've never heard of the night tour of the Alcatraz. We were trying to get to the island the last time we were in San Francisco, but we never made it there. It feels like a tourist trap, literally LOL. Very nicely done, boys! Love seeing another couple roaming and vlogging around the world like you guys! Keep up the great work!

Oh that sounds awesome!! You will have a great time! Yeah we booked the night tour in advance. Maybe worth checking their website. There is only one site to buy the tickets. So you will be able to check that. If you get a chance also check out our San Fransisco Chinatown food video. We had soooo much amazing food there🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩. Hi Tim and Dennis! This was fascinating...I'm so glad you visited Alcatraz, and you could go at night! The audio tour was available in 11 languages. Did you decide to listen in English, or another language? It might have been available in German, but was it available in Dutch? I'm really curious. Seeing the views of the San Francisco Bay and San Francisco Skyline were really fantastic. The seagulls were really great, too. This was a great video for Halloween week, too! Thank you for sharing this video from your vacation!

We loved the seagulls as well. So cool to see them enjoying the floating on the wind. We listened to the audiotour in English. We prefer that so we get the authentic voices. And in this case it had some original interviews with inmates. So it was extra special. There was no Dutch version, but I do think there was a German one. But for me English is easier than German 😂😂😂.

Nee ik vond het niet deprimerend eigenlijk. Juist interessant om die plek van dichtbij te kunnen meemaken en de sfeer te kunnen voelen. En de skyline. Wow die was echt zooo prachtig met zonsondergang. Vooral die vogels die daar zo in de lucht drijven 😍🤩

I knew the 2 of you would eventually end up in jail 😂😂 really cool to visit at night. I saw it day time but the night is so spooky.

Great video! Does the Audio Tour talk about the American Indian Occupation? The Natives wanted to enforce a Treaty that when federal land goes to "surplus" the Native Americans can claim it back. When Alcatraz Prison shut down, the Indians wanted the island. And Alcatraz means what class? ( Pelican ). Looks like cool ( chilly ) tour, bundle up!

I don’t remember if that part was included to be honest. But it did give us a nice tour of all the different areas and shared quite a few stories on the different infamous inmates and their attempts on escaping 🤩😉☺️

We were hoping to do an Alcatraz tour when we were in San Fran a year and a half ago, but alas, since we are usually planning at the last minute, tickets were sold out two months from when we'd be there (at least for the night tour)! How did they hide these holes they dug, and what would they use to dig with? Dennis, were you in the isolation room behind the thick white door? I can see how you could go insane being locked up in there! What was your favorite part of the tour?

It really was an amazing tour!!! They used spoons to dig the holes. Crazy, right?!? My favorite part was the earieness. The vibe. The audiotour was also amazing. And I loved the view of the skyline with all the seagulls floating outside. ☺️😉🤩

Yeah definitely. On both day and night tour you go inside. The night tour has less tourists and is spookier because it gets dark outside. We loved that.

The prison itself closed a while back. And ever since it has been opened for tourists. The audiotour that you get tells so many interesting stories. It is amazing. 🤩🤩🤩

Alcatraz prison should be destroyed and rebuilt as a SEAL habitat/ conservatory/interaction /watching tour. Keep lighthouse and redesign inside as interactive seal info. Destroy unnecessary prison bars and graffiti. Covered sidewalks, Seal feeding, and Selfie w/ seals areas. Redesign and add 100 more feet of shoreline around island for max seal habitat with elevated platform overhang for fish feeding and selfies. Install 40ft tall masonry seal statue at the highest point. Glorify positivity and animal habitat instead of criminality and degeneracy.

I like your idea very much!!! Maybe it could be a combination of the both. Because I also think it is interesting to keep the history part of one of the most famous prisons in the world. But I do agree there is a lot or space on the island that is not being used at the moment and your plan would work really well 🤩😉

@@stufr.travel US Need to move past touristic historical prisons. Not sure why an island prison is so interesting. It's just people locked up on an island. Some escaped, many people escape from prisons. An interactive seal sanctuary would be fun and a great learning center for everyone. Why not build interactive animal sanctuaries all over the US and world. Or implement the "Wildways" plan so tourists can safari and see lots of animals in 4 different regions of the US.
