While misunderstood might be a stretch (to me anyway), I do agree that the trolls aren’t evil creatures. Looking at their combat tactics, Earth troll throws rock, rock hits person, Earth troll laughs. However when you attack the Earth troll with melee, they slam on the ground as a type of self-defense. So yea, Trolls not evil; just victims of humanity. Theories are always interesting as they spark debates and questions. Keep up the awesome work man!

My theory was that trolls work the same way as the hunters in halo. A hivemind of smaller bugs/worms that control and shape the earth around them into a suitable vessel.

Honestly you missed a pretty cool idea with the chains on the Ice Troll- what if they were once used as slaves? I mean, The Old Kingdom wasn't one to slink away from using magical creatures so possibly they might have at one point enslaved a the trolls; perhaps the Ice Trolls themselves were created by the people of the Necropolis to act as a labor force or even as soldiers to defend the now ruined city.

Love the trolls, always thought it was a letdown that 3 didnt include them.

I felt the same. As annoying as they were, I still liked having them in the world

I remember when I was a little kid and went to the beach after playing fable. I covered myself in slabs of mud and dug a hole and popped out throwing balls of mud at other kids when they passed by and did the laugh until someone accidentally stepped on me.

I always liked the big lugs

I always imagined trolls move underground. After all, in greatwood caves there's sometimes a troll and other times not. Clearly it didn't live there or it would've already made itself known. Which means there's no evidence of whether or not trolls see each other while in the ground. And honestly, I think the idea of trolls interacting with another actually makes it more likely that they're just playing. I imagine if they did see each other, trolls would throw rocks back and forth in a game of catch, they would learn to play together in ways that are completely harmless to them but violent when they try to play with smaller creatures. Also, the way the trolls pound the ground when you get close can be interpreted as you being too close to play catch, thus they have to throw a fit like a toddler.

I think it’s a great theory! Could also be that they live solitary lives and grew more aggressive over the years do to humans encroaching on them? Like any animal would in the wild.

Late, but there was a lava troll in fable heroes lol

Makes me wonder if there were once diamond/ruby / emerald trolls or maybe even Crystal that perhaps didn't survive as long due to being able to be broken but also hunted because of being precious. I imagine a will spell could probably split a diamond

Can you do the Lore behind the shadow Court And a theory could be - Is Teresa a member of the Shadow Court Evidence- Her Will keeps her alive and Reaver can still be Alive possibly by Will energy

@Skyrionn I'm convinced about the individuality or isolation of trolls. Without a community or society or even brotherhood, trolls or any animal will struggle to learn social and survival skills, or even share experiences of encounters with various objects or other beings. Another thing I can bring up is evidence that animals, like lions etc., have "play" that is fun for them but can be dangerous for us humans. Maybe throwing boulders and stomping is what trolls naturally consider "play" among other trolls as it doesn't hurt them (as much) or endanger them but for humans it's devastating.

Have you seen the Fable Legends concept art of the troll who is the married to the Blacksmith? Looks nothing like a normal troll and normal trolls were in the game as well!

Can you do some lore on the legendary weapons like daichi and monk that owned it it's believed that she only visited Albion once but she coincidentally died there and I think Garth recovered her weapon and other weapons too I think Garth deserves his own video

I think the worst of them might be the feared "Internet Troll". I've only heard legend, but it says they are both ugly and belligerent to a degree that makes the others look quite loveable

I think all the trolls are actually golems mainly because anytime you kill one they usually drop a gem

That's a really good theory!

I don't really think the theory that trolls are just friendly, playful giants holds much water. Their entire strategy is to hide and blend in, and kill the unlucky travelers that stumble across them. They act the exact same while they're fighting for their life and are near death, so you'd think they'd act differently while playing a game.

I had a thought perhaps the larvae of wasps are laid into the swamp trolls p

Golems that are a new species that take a long time to age probably don't get to live that long cuz they come across humans that just kill them yet they're probably children at the time we see them that's why you see them with a single tooth sometimes

Wait I thought the weakpoints on the wood troll were beetle larvae that exploded in a shower of that acid the adult's you fight all the time like to spit at you burning the troll from the inside weakening whatever it is that holds them together.

Makes sense plus there native to the lands unlike humans but why the trolls don’t live together is unknown

I sure the two trolls in the arena {Fable 1} play catch, after closing hours.

One of my favorite ways to make money in the first fable was farming trolls

I never tried that. I didn't think they would be that good for it. Makes sense why I was always so poor

I'd say perhaps anytime they "ambush" people it is just as a wild animal would defend itself or it's territory from foes. They dont mean to be malicious but they dont know they can try to sue for peace.

I think that you might be on to something. Lol. This is not what the developers had in mind (most likely) but it's a possibility. What if they are just playing really aggressive tag. Lol

Both could be true... I dont like to generalize by race. Maybe there are nice trolls? But if there are we havent seen any, the ones we see in game are definitly trying to kill you. Unless they hit you they dont really look like they are having fun.

The weakest and stupidest design of troll is the fable 2 troll at least the way they made you fight them anyway shooting them with guns in larvae while standing back and rolling out of the way is pretty easy I mean
