Alberta GIANT with a BOW

Спорт

This is our first time hunting in Alberta, Canada for archery Mule Deer. Historically, Alberta is known for big bucks and the type of terrain that is very friendly to spot and stalk bowhunting. This hunt presented some challenges with an early blizzard hitting hard, below zero wind chill and below average deer numbers.
But, anytime you are hunting a place like Alberta you just never know what you could find. We hope you enjoy this action packed hunt with Bmack going to full draw on the biggest buck of his life. #Hushlife #Alberta #MuleDeer

You’ll have to take turns each year hanging him in your houses, cool thing to share, but tough for both hunters! Always impressed with BMacks ability to keep his emotions level. Really look up to him for that capability.

Wow great hunt Bmack. Sorry you weren't able to get that second shot off but glad y'all were able to get it done as a team. That showed great hunter ethics to stay after him until you finished what you started. Y'all are a class act. Thanks for sharing and look forward to the podcast later to dive into the details.

Bmack, as I watched this video I could actually feel the emotion. It was a complete roller coaster. I actually had a similar experience. The biggest mule deer buck I have ever shot, I wounded and a guy I was hunting with shot it a few minutes later as it went straight to him. First I felt sick that I had wounded such a great animal, then I was relieved when the other guy got him and I was happy for him to claim the buck but I also felt a little bummed because he was a buck of a lifetime. Sorry Bmack. You are a class act and you know when it’s about a team effort. Great Buck and an amazing video! Thanks for sharing.

What a hunt! I live in Alberta so was really interested to see where you were. Although you don't give an actual location, knowing you were here is good enough, haha. I've always been impressed with your 'stick-to-it-iveness' and your true appreciation of the animal that you hunt. You are a class act Brian! I'm sorry that you weren't able to get the kill shot, but it shows what a patient, respectable, determined hunter you are. You continued on with the purpose of getting him down to end any suffering he may have been enduring... well that and the fact that he was an awesome animal, of course! Seriously though, the way you persevered in those conditions (that I know all to well about)... mad respect.

Amazing hunt. I was in similar situation this year when the tracks left on the ground was easier to follow than the blood trail. He ran about 100y. The lung cavity was filled with blood, but not much "spilled" out. Good perseverance, guys. Great story. What a team work!

nice bucks. congrats! not sure who's buck that bigger one is. when i used to archery hunt, and practice, i knew every yard out to thirty. minuim 30 yards. i could always determine any point within 30 yards. that was before rangfinders, but i didnt over-practice. i dont think. that was my comfortable limit... 30 yards. i did take a deer at 40, but i tried to stay within 30. i guess people get reliant on tech after a while

One problem with such a heavy arrow is that when you can't get an exact range and / or mis range , then the pin gap is way bigger ... lighter faster arrows smaller pin gap when yardage isn't exact ! Those 4 to 9 yards are not as crucial when the arrow shoots flatter

It kind of looks like you should have had snow camouflage. Your dark camouflage made you stick out like a sore thumb against the white background. No wonder they saw you coming so often. Good use of the terrain saved the last stalk and kill, but snow camouflage might have made it much easier.

This Brian dude gives off bad vibes. When they first saw the buck and it wasn't his turn to go after it, he just gave off the vibe that he was butthurt. Then he oversold the "I want to be part of the team" and "I don't care who pulls the trigger" in the next scene. Throughout the vid I noticed anytime he failed he spoke about it like "we missed" or "we did xyz". When he speaks about good things it's "the biggest deer I ever shot at." Interesting to say the least. Never heard of the guy, one and done for me.
