Because strength is strength; speed is speed; it doesn't matter if it comes from magic or from a virus. And the MK gods are very weak for gods. They can be hurt in 1v1 combat by human punches and kicks.

And who said the gods of mk was weak ? If u don't know the lore let me explain. The gods can't be killed or even touched but the can be vulnerable by taking a form like human or anything, and yes it does make them weaker so raiden is fighting a lot rather than use his power because it isn't that effective against most of his opponents like shao khan we've seen it in mk11 he literally hold him a couple of seconds with his lightning, and most of the time he's holding back if you mean sonya fighting him in mk9, he was trying to help her otherwise he could've killed her with ez

​@@exactor6823What I mean is that if two characters can both lift ten tons, it doesn't matter if one got his strength from magic and one from a virus. The result is the same. If Shang Tsung could win every fight by stealing souls, or Scorpion could win every fight by bringing his opponent to the Nether Realm, why don't they do that every time? Why do they ever lose? And doing something like that is hax; it wouldn't give one character categories for strength, speed etcetera. If they fought in the MK universe, where souls and the Nether Realm exist, maybe they could do those things and win. But if they fought in Resident Evil's universe, or in neutral ground, where those don't exist, they would have to rely on their other abilities to win. I know that the "gods" in MK can be defeated 1v1 by humans with fists. Not much of a god.

​@itrickshot2881 The speedsters would actually be the most powerful superhumans by far. People think it's just speed, but they would actually take pretty much everything. I'll use Wesker because he's the one I know the most about, but it would go for any character who could move like he can. They would need godlike strength to stop the momentum of a 200 pound body moving at Mach 40 instantly and switch directions like he does. They would need enough durability to withstand 1,000 - 3,000 Gs, or 200,000 - 600,000 pounds of force on their body. They could just plow into their opponents to kill them. Wesker would literally create deafening sonic booms every time he moved. He would also create extreme heat, and would need to be able to withstand that. Realistically speaking, both Kabal and Wesker would obliterate any of these characters, except maybe Liu Kang fire god, who I believe is also fast.

I think Wesker is faster because every time you shot him in cutscenes, he disappeared for a second which must mean he's somewhere to light speed. Kabal, were able to see light from him when he moves soooo... There you have it
