The master of the Telecaster in his prime, with the original Icebreakers (A.C. Reed, Johnny B. Gayden, Casey Jones, Aaron Burton), doing a great cover of this T-Bone Walker's song.

There are so many people that don’t know about this great musician. We must spread the word because if people heard this, they’d love it.

Agreed. This outright garbage that passes for music today is shameful. BTW, those that want to refute what I said, go ahead. I said what I had to say.
I drive semi and every time I pass by Leona Texas on 45 I know who's from there a slick guitar player, rip Albert Collins

Went to Aragon Ball room to see Robert Cray Band, Albert Collins opened, I new a few of his songs, Dirty dishes was my favorite at the time. He went all the way up to the top rows of the room playing up and back. Real up close, awesome picking all the way up and down. Never forget that night. Wish I would seen him in person again.

The word unique was invented for albert collins. There can't be another. Originality oozing out with every lick. Just needs to sling that axe on his right shoulder, and shoot from the hip - magic.
That tone kicks you in the teeth and then you want another kick soon after

That's the baddest ASS blues song ever.
It's like Albert had a pet tiger in his guitar, and he would calmly wrestle it in front of us, and made this completely individual groove. Love you Ice Man
A real master. Real blues. God save us!

they were so hypnotized by his awesome playing they didn't even notice the giant fly in the room
I dont know much if anything about playing guitar. I have been listening to the blues since about '82 and learned early on that you could recognize guitarists by their tone. My brother who was a guitar player until his passing, was happy that at least I learned I could pick out all the guitarists by their tone. There is no one as unique as Albert Collins. I saw him in Salt Lake City back during this time - about 1983. Had at least 100+ foot cord on his guitar and walked out of the bar into the middle of the street. It was superb showmanship

It's unique stuff like that that I love. Someone's playing Is always unique, but it's how they present it that sets them apart.
I saw him in the 80's. that guitar cut right through your soul everytime he hit it,. you cant even explain it.

ALBERT COLLINS MAKES YOU FEEL THE BLUES IN YOUR HEART NATURALLY
I was lucky enough to see Albert Collins in concert in Moscow, Idaho back in the late 80’s. What a great show he put on. RIP ALBERT COLLINS!!
Such a blues classic!! (BTW, the song was written by a blueswoman called Jessie Mae Robinson).
The best blues guitar player ever!
If this doesn't stir your soul...you ain't got one.
love this man ....his guitar speaks much volume with his words...speak on...love you....R.I.P
Saw him a few times when I was just a teenager around Houston with his 200 foot guitar cord out playing in the middle of the street. Albert's tone and visual is iconic. One note or look and you instantly know it's the Ice Man. Damn shame he's not in the Rock Hall.
Albert Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Buddy Guy, didn't have to say anything in the mic, their guitar did it for them the way they played that thing, wow!
Big Bluesman and also a great Showman...I saw him during the eighties several times in Frankfurt😊😊😊
Through my headphones-incredible guitar tone, even for a Telecaster. Such passion and power, burned out too soon. Glad we have this WDR performance.
The master of the telecaster. This is blues children.

Love Albert's Blues this guy took massive risks when playing definitely one of the Greatest. 💙🎸👍
he has a capo on the C and has the guitar tuned to a minor. I guess that's how he learned on his own. The guy kills it

Looks like he's tuned to a minor as i said instead of open F#m tuning. It is open however but an F. Looks like a capo. I've seen him use capo's a lot but I've never sat down to listen to exactly what he's doing. I'm sure anyone who studies his style knows. Maybe it is an open tuning. I jjuts looked this up. I don't see the F sharp: "In other words, when he played all of his open strings, he sounded an F minor chord. So his strings from low to high were as follows: F-C-F-Ab-C-F" .
presence, tone and soul at it's best ... peace+love>
one of the greats in really fine form during this performance - a master of the slow blues like few others...both guitar and vocal!! Love the 'unpolished' feel and sound of his band in this gig - sounds real.
Saw him numerous times at Antoine’s blues club in Austin Tx. He would come off the stage into the crowd and out the front door❤😊😮
''You know im gonna quit somebody everytime that feeling starts'' BOSS!! 🔥🎸🎶
WOW! WHAT A GREAT BAND...THE GREAT AARON BURTON ON 2ND GUITAR...
He was a master communicator and he made every note count. . .
Always loved this guy's playing!
Pure magic!!!
The blues guitar player i found when I was 14 and still my favorite. I truly loved this guy , got to meet him two times
A pure ice-blues jam.
This is SIMPLY AWESOMENESSNESS at its BEST !!! Such a creative pioneer, great entertainment in every aspect !!!!
All the musicians were playin real tight!!!!!!
In the words of the late great Jethro Burns "Play it like you mean it." These cats sure got that message.
RIP Albert Collins (October 1, 1932 - November 24, 1993), aged 61 You will be remembered as a legend.
I MET ALBERT COLLINS IN TUNG TING PARKING LOT IN CENTERPORT LONG ISLAND NY BEFORE ONE OF HIS SHOWS IN HUNTINGTON WHICH IS NOW THE PARAMOUNT A GREAT VENUE FOR MUSIC OF ALL GENRES …. One of the Greats. RIP Mr Collins. You are missed
This great song was written by the brilliant songwriter Jessie Mae Robinson who died when she was only 48 years old. The song could not be in better hands, than the divine hands of the undisputed Master of the Telecaster, guitar and blues legend Albert Collins, who also died far too early when he was 61 years old. RIP and Thx Jessie & Albert - your beautiful music lives forever.
I saw B king 24 times and loved him every time I saw him even tell the end, also saw Collins and Albert king, but was to immature to realize i was seeing other greats of all time, wish I had paid attention

Excellent song and tone!
When music was music!
just plain raw talent no picks here
Excellent, excellent musicians💯🎯💯 Nothing like the blues to evoke all sorts of emotions. Albert knew how to get deep down into ones feelings. 😎
My man Albert Collins ❤😊
such tone non never duplicated it yet!
Rockpalast: TV history! Best that ever happend in German television
Nothing compares to melanated Blues!
I had a pleasure to see him. Asked for an autograph and picture with him. I love his style. Kathy B. from Florida.
Best version of this song.
Legend !
What a good man.
I saw Albert many times, always a great show.
Wow can’t believe what I just heard that’s just raw talent especially with the band playing with him slam dunk performance
I was backstage in one of his concert in Toulouse France in 80'. Juste before begining he left the stage to a bar room next to the stage to take a drink... suddenly he began to play in silent way.. But the sound reached the public... it was unrealistic ... we were watching him in a room and listening him in other room ... Merci beaucoup albert Collins
The Iceman ! I was lucky enough to see him perform 2X ( Had a drink with him between sets a Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville, and got to see both he and Albert King a couple of years before at Rockefeller's in Houston. One of the all time greats !

Hello Allison how are you doing hope you’re having a great time with your family may God bless you and your family
Stratocaster or telecaster…, wow this is awesome, just as Blues is in all categories.... joining BB King, or any other Peter Green or .. you just could go on naming them .--- Well Ok it would be the Sibelius violin concerto to name one - my favorite!
This is how I remember him about 1990😊
Sorry but this guy deserves BB King recognition and more. God he was so freaking good.
I saw him one time in '88, I think, or maybe '89 at Antone's in Austin (the original one, the only one at the time, on Guadalupe), and it was incredible, something never matched again my whole life. I was a student and lived nearby at the time, and I was only there on a pure lark. My late uncle Rocky Hill knew him well, and he played on one of Rocky's albums, but that one concert was my only personal experience with him.
I've got a cold, cold feelin; It's just like ice around my heart I've got a cold, cold feelin; It's just like ice around my heart I know I'm gonna' quit somebody, every time that, feelin'starts You treat me like a prisoner, because my hands are tied Everything you do to me, is stackin' up inside It's a cold, cold feelin' Yea, You're just like ice around my heart I know I'm gonna' quit somebody, every time that, feelin'starts There's a change in me baby, once I was blind but now I can see There's a change in me baby, once I was blind but now I can see I'm gonna' put everybody down baby That ever made a fool outta me
Wow, I just read a Facebook post about him and looked him up. He's amazing! So glad I searched his music 💕💕
Goosebumps.
I wish he was still alive. I could listen to him forever
That's my man throwin' it down ... H -Town , baby!!!
Soul & fingers great feeling !
Great solo....the ultimate feeling
And now I own a telecaster! I saw him again in bunrattys, brighton.but I was drinking, started to get the spins so went to shithouse, almost puked but didn't,must of been an hour later or two, bouncer said get the fuck out,.so I did caught the last 5 minutes of show.with Albert in middle of crowd with a 100 foot guitar chord fuckin screaming out leads then the show was over.then went to Riley's roast beef chowed down and about 10 minutes later ,puked all over sidewalk as some people came around the corner.a most memorable night indeed
The iceman cometh. Bringing his talking blues guitar
Unul dintre cei mai mari chitaristi ai secolului Albert Collins !
that was so good.
