Alba Armengou & Vicente López | VU Sessions
Us presentem VU Sessions, un projecte que vol promoure i donar a conèixer la qualitat musical dels alumnes de l’ESMUC, (Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya). Un espai on escoltar les propostes més noves i d’actualitat de cadascuna de les especialitats i instruments que hi trobem, on la música és el principal protagonista, en un plató càlid d’estudi de gravació, i un públic clamorós.
Aquesta setmana comptem amb el VU Sessions de l’Alba Armengou i el Vicente López: aquest duet sorgeix de la complicitat, l’amistat i la passió per la música. El repertori és una mescla de cançons brasileres combinat amb boleros i algún standard de jazz. És un duet per gaudir de la intimitat i la proximitat de la música i desfer la barrera entre el públic i els músics.
Esperem que disfruteu tant com nosaltres d’escoltar-los. No oblideu deixar un m’agrada, i subscriure-us al canal, per estar al dia amb els propers VU Sessions.

Alba, you are an excellent jazz singer and trumpeter, but what I love the most is when you sing Bossa or ballads. Your voice is so pure, and you don't just sing with your voice, but with your whole being. It's almost like a spiritual experience, beautiful to behold! Thank you for your wonderful music.
I've been an Alba fan for the better part of ten years and have fondly watched her grow into the fabulous talent that she is today! And, on this cold December day here in Michigan USA I'm delighted to see her enjoin the artistry of Vicente Lopez in this VU Session project of the ESMUC! Thank God music lovers all over the world can enjoy studio-quality work by students from the hotbed of passion for good music located in Barcelona! Perfection that is NOT produced on someone's phone! Kudos to the Technical Team!

Vale, me rindo. He dicho muchas veces que la Alba que más me gusta es la jazzistica, como vocalista y trompetista. Y que la etapa romántica por la que está pasando (profesionalmente, digo) no me acababa de convencer mucho. Pero después de ver este video, me rindo. Me rindo a su simpatía, a su espontaneidad, a su naturalidad, a su sensibilidad, a su buen gusto cantando cualquier cosa, a su picardía y a esos ojitos, entre traviesos y algo más, que pone cada vez que mira a su compañero. En las dos canciones brasileñas está sembrada, muy difícil cantarlas mejor y con más encanto. El acompañamiento del guitarrista Vicente López, rozando la perfección, hay mucha compenetración, química y feeling, es evidente ...

Verdade, a Alba Armengou é a Jóia vinda da famosa banda de jazz do Joan Chamorro, junto com Andrea Motis, Rita Payes e outras, desenvolveu um profundo repertório de música brasileira e internacional (jazz). Ela tá num nivel de pronúncia muito avançado, é difícil ver um europeu conseguindo falar as palavras certinhas sem um sotaque forte. Ouvir ela cantando é de Preencher o Coração e tocar a alma.
Siempre tuvo una voz hermosa Alba, pero cada día canta mejor. Felicidades!!!

Very nice! I like the fresh Bahia com H-version even more than the one with the small orchestra at the Joan Chamorro sessions. I love the spontaneous comments in Catalan (I don't understand Catalan nor Spanish, but at least I can hear that there's a difference - I think). Excellent audio and video quality. Thank you both!
