Alastair Crooke : How the West Lost Russia

Alistair Crook as we explores this critical question and uncover the profound shifts in global geopolitics. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov's stark declaration to the U.S. ambassador marks the dawn of a low-intensity conflict era with the United States. We'll break down Russia's strategic responses, examining the formation of an alternative security framework with BRICS nations and other nuclear powers. This episode promises to shed light on Russia's perspective regarding Western intentions to escalate the conflict in Ukraine and the broader consequences for international relations.
Listen closely as we dissect the West's fundamental misunderstandings of Russian policy and the intricate web of global commodity management. Learn about the United States' manipulation of commodity prices for financial and political leverage and Russia's potential pivot towards a new security and financial architecture. Alistair Crook provides keen insights into whether Western leaders grasp the enormity of losing Russia and the significant transformations this loss entails, including the creation of a potential BRICS currency and the hurdles of expanding its membership. We also tackle the internal disconnect between Western leaders and their electorates, challenging the capability of Western policymakers to understand and respond to the global shifts initiated by Russia and other rising powers.

It is a long and complicated story as to how the Western bureaucratic elites (sometimes called the "Managerial Class") began to see themselves as the experts in all things, hence able to determine the course of human history. Part of the story has to do with the "Progressive" ideology that blinds the elites. However, the main problem is staggeringly elevated hubris. Hence, the biblical story of the Tower of Babal is applicable. In the story the hubristic drive to dominate the world ends in mass confusion.

No, that’s a bad thing long term for Russia. The best thing Russia has done and can continue to do is make Europe economically intertwined with Russia. This will make it painful for Europe to play war games with Russia or try to fight economic wars with them. Just like we are seeing now, the EU economies are suffering because they are trying to cut off Russia. This gives Russia leverage over Europe. When this is all done in a year or so, it would continue to be in Russia’s best interest to return to normal trade with Europe and show the European that its actually the US who is hurting the EU and is their enemy. Russia and China can and will break the vassalhood state of the EU from the US and that will isolate the US in a way that would cripple the US militarily and economically. Russia/China play the long game and I guarantee this is their objective.

Russia carries out it's missile strikes at night time to minimize civilian casualties, whether it was deliberate or not they carried out the strike in the daytime, in the vicinity of a crowded beach, and with cluster munitions! Even IF it wasn't entirely deliberate, it was certainly carried out with complete disregard for the civilians that it endangered and should be considered a war crime or even terrorism as far as i'm concerned!

Mr Crooke is right about Sevastopol, British people who know anything about history are very familiar with Sevastopol because of the Crimean War and it's always pronounced as he and the judge do. The Charge of the Light Brigade took place just outside Sevastopol, as did the stand of the 92nd regiment in the Thin Red Line, 1854.

I have not been able to find out if this is true or not !! Congress and the elite stock holders are pretty much guaranteed to increase their wealth for the future even as they insure the American way of life is decimated and guaranteed to destroy any hope of the future of our children !! They use our taxes to insure their wealth !!! In my opinion doesn't this make people who cannot afford to invest become ACTUAL SLAVES FOR THEM TO BE WEALTHY !!!

Greetings from Greece. About Sevastopol. It is a Greek name from the old colonies of the ancient Greeks in Tavris. The Greek name is "Σεβαστούπολη" and is a 2 word name the later is the Greek word for City (Polis Πόλις) and the first part means Respected. So since it's a Greek name the correct is the version of Col. McGregor. Note the tone on the Greek word.
