Alaskan Forged Chef Knives - Full Build!
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Woodworker meets Knife maker - Tyson at Carbon Peaks reached out to me about a year ago, he put the bug in my ear that I needed to make chaotic knife handles. This collaboration took 6 months start to finish, what a journey it has been to get here. To say his knives are stunning would be an understatement.
Chaotic stabilized knife handles, blocks and pen blanks are a new but limited product for me. A lot more to come in the distant future with that.
Chef knives are 7" and 10" hand forged San Mai Damascus with my Chaotic stabilized handles by

"AMAZING" is such a wimpy word for what these 2 men do! PS: Kris's little girl is such a charmer!
Beautiful knives, both handle and blade. This was a totally fascinating video, thanks. Great job on the pens and the bench.

Great work Sir! Truly amazing! fan from the Philippines.
Congratulacios those knives are a máster pices. Is my first time in your channel. Greetings from Mexico City.
Another rabbit hole to go down. Those knives look awesome.
I don't know how much you charge BUT it's not enough. The power alone, plus machine work power hammer, and gas, never mind the hours of labour per item. Love your work.
Two words..BAD ASS!
Just wow..nuff said😀😀😀

I was watching your "hobby turned business" video and thought of this when you were looking at your offcuts. It makes perfect sense you sell knives that match your boards. Using the off cuts from that same board. I subbed by the way, brilliant wholesome videos.
simply state of the art !!! Congrats for building a masterpiece! Want one... Cheers from Germany
Kris, What an amazing video. I had no clue how these knives were made nor did I understand the complexity of making the handles. Thank you.
Wow! I don't know much about knives, but I know a masterpiece when I see one. I hope those went straight to a display case.
I'm exhausted watching both of you. You are true Craftsmen. ❤😊

Hello kris, sorry in advance, i'm french and i might miss some parts in english, but to avoid any roll back and be safe , you could add a guide on your band sander perfectly square to your band to make a surface to put your piece against ? Really beautiful pieces btw, love them !

They are insanely gorgeous..! 😍😍
Gentlemen, this is extremely awesome work, well done, Paul Victoria BC
About 24 years ago I was making jewelry. There was a guy who worked as a janitor. He would have these garbage barrels full of long pieces. Some were expensive since some crafters were making expensive jewelery boxes. I told him if he glues them together he could make panels. He began to make trucks, really nice things. I used to ask him to make some things for my shop. I'd bring him the wood. Many times he wouldn't take my money. He became a wood craftsman and started with a hand plane and glue. I used to bring him hand graved silver to wrap his cribbage boards.

So beautiful !!!!
The journey will take you many different places it's up to you to start. You definitely started sir
Dude those ste are insane. I have 1 opinion on them from a professional chefs point of view/knife lover they are stunning the obly thing i think could cause an issue is the such depth/sharpness of angle between the handle and the back the blade could get uncomfortable to use. Again just my opinion though look great 👍🏴
Duuuude always love your videos and the quality is always top tier

To both the makers... WOW!.
Facinating of such great ideas and knowledge of these guys. Congratulation to such exciting good handcraft - I would say these knifes are worldwide outstanding !!!!
Beautiful. I'll have any of them. Thanks.
The way you make the "chaos boards" has many similarities with the process of making patern welded steel/damaskus. NICE build.
Those handle scales are amazing when i can afford some i am going to put it on one of my knives
Awesome! Great job 🤗😊🤗
These knives are awesome! I looked up his website and yours and see that you both are sold out of product which means your demand is high. I love watching these videos. I’ve been getting into making more boards and coasters over the past couple years and recently starting doing chaotic designs. Soo much fun and soo much work so I appreciate and understand what you go through and the prices you ask. You are an awesome craftsman and an inspiration to the woodworkers/crafsmen world. Thank you for what you do!
