When I came to Alaska in 1985 the glacier came right up to the parking lot. No one had to pay for anything. Hatchers pass is right by my house. Glad you guys are having a good time

I remember the same when I was younger. I can't believe we have to pay for a boat ride in order to see them.

I don’t know about tasting ice but while stationed in Fairbanks we crossed a glacier and the water coming off was some of the best tasting water I ever had. Yea probably a bear or something up stream taking a whizz but when you have been walking for miles…

Alaska is truly beautiful. The videos are very senic. Is the place in Whittier open for anyone to live? I love my family but am not sure we can stay in the exact same area and see each day. Great video, Bandits, safe travels.

Def want to get to Alaska before all the glaciers melt. Another great video guys!

Brought back some memories with this one. Been to Whittier twice; however, both were to board or leave a cruise ship. That tunnel in a motorcoach was crazy! One of the times, we stopped at the Alaska Wilderness Conservation Center in Portage. That place was really cool. The other was to head straight up to Talkeetna with a stop in Wasilla. I want to get up there again within a couple years but debating car/hotel or RV rental. Then my dream trip would be take my own RV (whatever it would be) from Ohio to there. That is unless I get enticed to live there. I think you can agree, pictures nor video will do the views justice.

The tunnel is very narrow, if you swerve your doing major damage. We wanted to go to the Wilderness Conservation center but ran out of time. Yes I agree, picture or videos don't do any justice.

You will really enjoy it being that it was your first time. No we won't be including Denali this year. We plan to visit again next year and either rent an RV or take ours to Denali.

I wasn't going to comment on this video until I saw Ashanti driving. She needs to do alot more driving because she looks "soooo" cute behind the wheel.

Hey you guys. I was curious about gas prices in Alaska. Can you give me some idea of what it costs per gallon? How about the cost of living. Is it more expensive there than in the lower 48?

Gas prices were at times 4 something.. the cost of living is high but the pay is higher too. I suggest that if you travel in an rv to Alaska you shop in the lower 48 and if you visit try to cook or find mom and pos restaurants instead of the big food chains. Safe travels

Hey yall. Would you guys ever take a cruise to Alaska? I get the feeling that Talm doesn't care for Alaska very much. Is that true? I love watching people hiking or even living in the back country!

We would only take a cruise base on the excursions. Being that I lived in Alaska for over 20 years I never thought about taking a cruise. I rather go somewhere warmer. Talm don't really care about the cold and he claims that Alaska is boring. Lol..
