Happy Birthday and glad you were able to visit Alaska. I did a cruise a couple of years ago and was amazed at the scenery. I think one of the reasons you may have run into shortages of things and services was because many people that may have worked in the tourism industry simply left because there has been little to no tourism up there since Covid. Hopefully things will get back to normal for your next visit and you should start bidding for ANC!

Yeah, I was wondering how you were moving around Anchorage without a car. But yeah, 2021 was a bad year for car rentals in Alaska. And yes, car rentals are a lot more expensive up here.
