I sailed to Alaska from Seattle last year, pretty sure I saw that 185 flying in Ketchikan while I was there. They are such a beautiful airplane.

Getting my seaplane rating is on my bucket list. I am a professional pilot flying corporate Jets for a living. I find it so refreshing you are flying seaplanes instead of so many other young girls trying to get with the airlines. Your comment about helicopters made me smile because I used to feel that way before I got my Commercial Helicopter license. Go ahead and plan to get your helicopter license. Life is short so go after all the things to would love to do. Stay safe always and keep the Sunny side up, as my mentor used to say. 🚁🛩️

Hi Annabelle great first video for a toe (or boot) in the water. Can I suggest that you watch the channel “Fly with Kay” as Kay does an excellent job of flying and filming. To her the camera is a passenger and she aviates and communicates as if the camera was in the right seat and then knows exactly what’s going on. Kay always aviates, navigates then communicates. Also always remember editing is your best friend so that you can keep your pax privacy under control. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful area. The ambience of this video is *chef's kiss*. Way to capture the essence of such an amazing place. I'm accustomed to flying in the California desert, and it's only pleasant in the winter when the thermals give way to the cool tranquil air. Looking at those skies give me the itch to "clear prop!" and get up there.

Judging from your display pic I am presuming you are Mexican or south American. That would be a VERY long flight. What aircraft do you own? Check it's range before even thinking of it, you'd need a fair few stop overs for most affordable light aircraft.

@@bashkillszombies That is the very first time anyone ever thought I was Hispanic. I'm as white as can be and was blond hair blue eyes until I was 10 or so, but I do have some Portuguese blood. I did I say I fly in California, so that should be a bit of a hint about where I'm flying from. I don't own an aircraft, but I've been shopping. If I flew around in the Ketchikan, I'd probably hop on the airlines and then get a float plane rating up there. My dad loves Alaska, and I've thought about going on a trip with him up to Anchorage, but Ketchikan is much closer anyway.

I like the focus on the flying. You can edit short clips together to tell the story faster and do more short bursts of narration or subtitles to tell where you are going at each point etc. Soundtrack is pretty killer with Sultans of Swing and John Denver; you seem too young for that stuff, but a bunch of us grew up with it. Continue!

Nice job. Focus first on flying. If weather and conditions permit? Do the filming. Do not let this kill you. Flying is dangerous especially in Alaska. I love Alaska. Know how dangerous flying is and then you can manage the danger. I never film under dicey conditions or when flying passengers. Fly safe captain.
