Alaska Farmers Use 88,300 Acres Of Farmland This Way - Farming Documentary
Alaska is the largest state in the United States but has one of the smallest agricultural industries. In the past, Alaska Natives and many small communities depended on hunting, fishing, and gathering for their livelihood. However, the local food supply does not meet the demand. As a result, many Alaskans have recently been engaged in farming, which helps to meet the demand for locally sourced food supplies.
Alaskan farmers produce meat, vegetables, grains, and fiber. Alaskans already produce a wide variety of crops and livestock, and crop diversity is expected to increase in warmer and wetter climates.

Where do you put the harvester in for the harvest?
Suppose it is the same as SIBERIA in Russia. Where people thin it is only cold, ice and snow all year around.

@@tony98discovery Suppose because it is the same as it is in Russia. Western people tend to think -Siberia - is only cold and ice and snow. Same with Alaska. But as your film shows, there is far more to it. And THAT is what i like. In both places. Fair enough, summers are short. And everthing has to grow and ripen in a few short month time. But when daylight starts at 3.30 in the morning and it is dark only at 10 or 11 in the night, things have more daylight hours to grow.
Climate change makes farming easier in Alaska
