Nice fixtures, but I'll bet the inside smells as grotty as it looks. Last Thursday I was in Nijmegen but the lift I filmed in the summer had already become grotty. These station lifts always smell like cigarettes and urine. Btw, there is an classic old (semi-working but faulty) Starlift in a thriftstore (called "het goed") there.

It's not a button, it's a light. The gas sensor in the elevator causes that light to come on, so that the next person knows to take the stairs or let the elevator air out.
