A sense of peace. Some clarity on a rock by the lake. Funny how life ends up. I feel serenity, peace on that cliff and this song. Me and a date with nature. I found love. The one person that was always invisible. I could see all different souls but I forgot her. I found her . Today. She welcomed me home. I owe a few people that pushed me to seek my truth. They are greatly appreciated and I'll carry them along with me. Always remember those who made me see the invisible girl.

Well as it is her song and by that I mean she wrote this song! A friend and me zoomed in on her lips and the synchronicity is a little too perfect for her to be lip syncing! Her voice and sound is meshing perfectly. No lip sync here. If you want to see lip syncing just watch any Milli Vanilli video. Time to stop hating on a talented artist.

I hate Alanis’s music due to being bombarded with it my entire adult life, for real. My brother, wife and even an ex would and still play it over and over, and over again. YET this is in the top ten of my favorite songs of all time. It’s absolutely hauntingly beautiful. I’ve also seen Alanis since she was a kid and never really seen her as gorgeous before watching this at the time. She’s beautiful of course, but I never thought she was that hot, lol. I’m pretty sure she is singing this live, albeit flawless enough to be suspicious. You can see her need the lyric monitors a couple times as well. I don’t think I’ll ever decipher all the actual lyrics, but I can sing along 😊

It's a common thing when something is being televised. It's because of acoustic issues you'd get trying to have a singer perform live. But yes, a very beautiful song, and made me proud not only to be Canadian, but to be a native of the Vancouver area. And it was also beautiful seeing all those people, the athletes from around the world, joining together in one big party, swaying to Alanis. If we could only see more of this kind of unifying joy and peace, the world would be such a better place.

Listen to her breaths. I’ve used audio software to listen to those moments side by side and it’s live. It might be mixed to some extent, but if you’re singing with your own harmony tracks that’s normal. It’s most likely a full live mic version would be very inferior due to technical details. Recording vocals is challenging enough in a studio, let alone amplifying a mic in a stadium and try and match a studio version.
