This song has been a crutch for me since it came out. I had just gotten into a lot of electronic and music with a deep meaning. Had discovered Alan about a month or two before, then, I went through a very tough rejection and a break up. My entire life I have never been a social person but I wasn’t anti social by any means. I was an innocent kid. I think my troubles were a reality check and a tough dose of realism. But it hurt. I went through a terrible phase. I didn’t talk to people, didn’t have friends, didn’t have a life. And it just got worse from there. Recovering was the hardest thing I’ve done in my life. I didn’t know what to do and where to go. And I started getting more into music. Shortly after I discovered the origin version of this song. And it was something special. I could feel emotions without having to bear the affects of them, and I didn’t have to go through what happened to feel them. It was also a place to vent, let go, relive myself in times of need. I’ve gone back over the last year or two listening to this song, and it brings up so many emotions that I don’t know how to describe, it forces me to break down, but in a good way almost. Sure, I cry. But I don’t know why I do. Never have I known something, let alone a song, to be such an emotional release point and crutch. This song will always hold a special place in my heart. And I’m thankful. I’ve never been one for covers, of any music. That how I ended up getting into nightcore and daycore. Covers but not really. I’ve enjoyed listening to them, but this one is different. It takes my emotions and changes them. Makes me feel different things, and view things from a separate perspective. I just wanted to thank you. I wanted to make a small edit. Thank you to the people who have gave me support, it helps. I still struggle to this day and life doesnt make sense right now, but i can confidently say that i still go back to songs like this today. and it always helps me get through hell, so thanks (:

I remember 4 years ago, the very moment it came out I watched it. It was amazing, and beautiful. The official music video was like a cold place, seems scary, but the music is like it's welcoming you to the place. You feel wanted, fitting in.
