Rest in Peace Alan Parker. Fantastic filmmaker.
Alan, RIP 🙏 Angel Heart is still one of the greatest and stays with me today
For me personally the most perfect film i`ve ever seen, from my favourite director, the film has everything a film should. a masterpiece of theatre, RIP Alan.
A detective story mixed with the supernatural. It doesn't get any better than that.
Terrific director..the wall, midnight express, angel heart... This man´s talent is incredible. I hope to see new films of him. I don´t think he had the recognition he deserves.
A true actor's director. Just look at how he draws great performances from his actors such as Mickey Rourke and Lisa Bonet in "Angel Heart" and Gene Hackman and Willem Dafoe in "Mississippi Burning".

And all the non-actors from The Commitments.
Another of Parkers great films, is "The Commitments"(made in 1991).
What a legend.
I loved Angel Heart & a big Alan Parker fan.
One of the greatest directors of all time. It's criminal how underappreciated he is. Also, where the hell has he been?

The dude made some great films, and Angel Heart was one of them. Thanks for the upload.
Superb, haunting atmosphere, great cast, esp Rourke. MPAA shenanigans >> absurd.
Alan Parker is awesome!
WHAT A GUY! WHAT AN IMAGINATION! XXX
@wheels37 If you love Alan Parker's film, you ought to check out Melody, a 1971 British film. Though Alan wasn't the director, he was the screen writer. Melody wasn't a big hit in US or UK, but it was a super super hit in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil. I hope I didn't miss any other countries.
His masterpiece and the fact he was the screen writer. Mind blowing to be honest.
Genius
R.I.P
Does anyone know if Mr. Parker is still directing films? I checked his IMDB, did not see anything current. I have a funded project for him....
