In the words of Vee Infuso who reviewed the later seasons of this show: “Jenny was a completely unnecessary addition but not an entirely unwelcome one.” He said that the character bio was basically Charlie again, but he felt that Tamblyn made it her own and that the portrayal could easily have come off as more derivative than it was.

Cringe. After Charlie Sheen left, this show became unwatchable.

Unpopular opinion: I really liked Jenny. She was playful and fun-loving like Charlie was. And when she flirted with other women, she had some really great zingers that topped even Charlie's best, and that's saying a lot.

I liked her too, even dough her introduction was still a big suspension if disbelief moment. Even with Ashton the show was still good. They had a great supporting cast in Berta and Herb for example. John Cryer is always great, but you hear from some people is "where's Charlie... Charlie this, Charlie that"

I always liked her...After Charlie, they had to bring in someone to support Alan..To keep the show from tanking too quick...

Her character and timing, ruined this show.

The show was terrible after Charlie Sheen left. But I really liked Jenny, I think she was one of the few good things of the later seasons
