No matter how long ago this song was written, it is still one of the most favorite song of mine. I was in a relationship with someone who passed away. He would always sing this song to me and he took my heart ❤ when I lost him. To this day I still love him and it's been close to 20 years now 💔.

Man so many of these songs and alot of slower alan jackson songs make more sense to me as a 38 year old now when I'd hear my dad listening to them cranked up. My mom killed herself in 99 and my dad had been remarried already for a few years and my mom was still crazy about him and it truly broke her heart and after she died I'd hear my dad listening to this song in particular as he was standing in the kitchen with it on and a beer in his hand and not saying anything and now i see what was going through his mind when he'd listen to it (regret for leaving my mom). I haven't ever been put in his situation like that and never been married but im just like him with music too and it's always been something that speaks to me and i see now it was speaking to him on those nights when he'd be listening to this song and other similar one's about heartbreaks.

The man the legend the icon mr. Alan Jackson definitely had rung back traditional country music at its finest thank you mr. Alan Jackson for bringing that back to us

Me & my mom went to see him in concert at Arco Arena in Sacramento CA twice front row seats he was AWESOME!! Also we have alot of his CD from way back just love all his songs he sings he's truly a amazing singer & his gospel album my mom has she loves it & listens to it often. George Strait is great, don't get me wrong, but Alan. You can't beat his sweet and smooth voice. He is truly a living legend, the real king of country. George Strait does not write his own songs, and I've kind of lost a lot of respect for him. Both are still legends in our generation, but I think Alan takes the crown here.
