Thanks for the memories Alan. I can’t exactly remember the opposition - but I think it was Sheffield Wednesday -but it was a stormy Wed evening at Stamford Bridge (1970) and the pitch was in a terrible state. The football was shocking and it looked like being a 0-0 in front of 13,000 rain soaked spectators. Peter Bonetti rolled the ball out to Alan Hudson on the edge of the box and he went through the whole opposition and rolled the ball under the advancing goalie. Probably one of the greatest goals ever see at the Bridge. No cameras unfortunately. You were a class act Alan and a disgrace you never played as a regular in the England side. Thanks for the memories.

Revie was an ogre , blanked Malcom Mc Donald after he scored 5 against Cyprus as he didn't want to pick him , it was only the pressure from the press that put him in the team and nicked Mc Donalds interview money after the match , Revie literally dropped Alan Hudson , Tony Currie and Alan Ball after the West Germany game , where England shone and Alan Hudson run the show abetted by Ball and Currie . Then cleared off to Saudi as he was getting aggro from Gary Sprake about match fixing . Strange man Revie

What A Great 👍 Player Alan Hudson Was And It’s True He Did Walk On And Play Brilliantly On Water 💦. One ☝️ Great Player Who Should Have Played More Games For England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. It Was A Pleasure To Watch Him Destroy Other Teams At The Potters Ground. He Was My Favourite 🤩 Player In Red And White Shirt 👚 Of Stoke City Team Always Had A Great Chance Of Winning With Alan In The Side. Marvellous 🤩 Player. ❤🎉😢.

Ran the game against Germany that night, he was head and shoulders above every other player on that pitch! Then, hardly picked again! No wonder England won bugger all!!

Hudson was typical of the best flair players of the era who were unfairly neglected by the england boss at the time who seemingly preferred run of the mill footballers ?

Why are both Women's and men's football mixed up on all websites? Even on club websites keep it separate in my opinion I find it totally irritating. I can barely bother watching my own club side let alone women's football! I have no problem with women 's football it's just not for me. Keep it separate ffs

I agree 💯 percent women football should be commentated by women and mens by men, common sense please.
