This is my first time watching this scene. It was all funny, but the quorum line really got me. 😂
After hearing about his passing today this character he played was the first thing that came to mind, he was brilliant in this, rip x

“Was it too much with the ethnic slurs…..?” 🤣🤣 RIP Mr Arkin.
"Not now, not now!" 😂😂😂
"Somebody needs a HUG!!" Thank you, Alan Arkin. RIP.
omg that moment when Anthony Lapaglia says 'A quorum??' incredulously, so funny.
“Yes I know that part.” RIP Captain
These scenes should be taught in acting classes as examples of perfect comic timing. LaPaglia and Arkin work so well together, a shame we didn’t see more of them

One of the all time greats Rip
Even though Alan Arkin scenes add up to almost 4 minutes of the entire film he sure is the best part of the movie
My gosh Alan Arkin was so naturally funny.
"Somebody needs a hug!"
This is outstanding. These two and the parents are the greatest things about this movie.

Mike Meyers played his own father, we got an even earlier preview of Shrek....LOL.
I saw this movie as a kid in the 90s. However, now as a working adult, the Captain shows signs of being a great boss who’s caring and attentive to his employees. He listens to the feedback of his team and implements new techniques to improve in order to motivate them to operate at their best. Respect Captain.

Yeeees!! He's a darling 😢 I had a boss like that once. Sometimes when the office was quiet, it was a small office too, and he was on the phone to one of his daughters who had some troubles and I'd hear him say, "But sweetheart", "oh, sweetheart," 😢💜💌 He was the CEO. And so knowing was he.

I had a boss like this. The guy was so nice that we wouldn't take shit for him on his behalf. He would see everything from an almost innocent view on life. But a great boss, we worked very hard for him and did everything he asked.
I’m convinced, there isn’t a bad scene in this movie

Not that the rest of the cast was bad or anything, they were all really good. Still, Alan Arkin was the best thing about this movie!

Some comedian, I forget who, could do a perfect Alan Arkin impersonation. He'd call up other celebrities and (as Alan Arkin) invite them to stay over for the weekend (at the real Alan's house). So that comedian was on TV and he got a phone call, "Can I have my life back please" was what the real Alan Arkin said.

I rented this movie from a mom&pop video store when i was like 13 and loved it, hence why im back watching clips
He was brilliant in this role. He was good in anything, I really liked the small role he played in Grosse Point Blank.
Now that’s acting!!!!!!! Epic! I can watch these two every week on a series!!!
Rest In Peace Alan Arkin 😇🙏

Imagine if James Gandolfini played a role like a sweet police captain like this before he passed...... No disrespect to Alan Arkin, because i love his comedic timing with Anthony here.
When I was sitting in class after watching this and laughing my ass off to myself.
"Back off, Italian Boy!"
Rest in Piece Alan Arkin.

This film was a sequence of amazing performances by Alan Arkin, Michael Richards, Charles Grodin, and Phil Hartmann, gracefully supported by Anthony Lapaglia and Nancy Travis, and in between them a bunch of time wasted by a some guy trying too hard to be entertaining with all his favorite silly voices and faces.
