worked in an ER for about 8-9 years and after a while …..you get kind of numb and you just do your job. It is not that you do NOT care, but you just do what you are hired to do and you leave your “personal” feeling at the door. Was thinking such, too. We reside about 25 miles east, with only several years left on a low interest mortgage. I could not afford today's prices, nor the greater interest rates. I believe that a lot of people are becoming mentally unhinged from financial stresses that are only escalating.

Domestic violence abusers are fakes that live double lives. It does not matter what people remember about their friendliness., charm or generosity. It was all a show. Personal experience with this is that they are master manipulators that feel their family is merely property that they own. They do not just "snap" due to stress.
