Funny. He is quite shy here, like defending himself, still has got his Paris suburbs accent. A bit of shame, admetting he prefers tough directors, lying on what he exactly did in the army, saying he fell in love almost instantly with cinema when he did his first movie.. he answers like a kid, the kind of kid who just stole a wallet, and though he knows you saw him, will look at you and never say he's guilty. He says that before Purple Noon, he didn't know how to use his gaze.

When he was only 17 he decided to join the army before the legal call of service, and did a few illegal things, then was sent to active service in Singapore (last times of Indochine) and though very young was involved in fighting areas, but also discovered the shady world of black market, gambling and prostitution. By this I don't mean he was Al Capone, but from what I see in him as a young man, he was the angel face with an addiction to darkness. When he came back to France, he spent some time in what was called in French le demi monde, where he even has been not far to turn into a gigolo (he was an irresistible cocktail of beauty, vulnerability and a rough, angry mind, with arrogance of youth). Dalida and other women have helped him. Then luck arrives, as a French cinema director noticed him (Allegret) and he started with a couple of soft leading young man roles. But he had something deeper to show, and thanks to René Clément, was cast as Tom Ripley in Plein Soleil, where his fascinating gaze, the gaze of a hunting animal, was explored for the first time. He has been before his thirties in some of the best movies of this period. This young side of him is the most interesting for me. Such an explosive shake of polished attitude in an interview, with a volcano of hunger, anger, and wound soul under it. Later, he controled much more his expressions, almost wearing the mask of a caracter, cold and not revealing anything inside . He seems to long for that relationship, he says it was his most romantic love, and seems to suffer, and I know that not only he left her for another woman at the time, but when he shoot La Piscine he has a window or opportunity there and allegedly he went after Jane Birking, the way he is nostalgic about their relationship and not others that lasted longer and even had kids with like the last one, that is very interesting to me. I think there is a lot of speculation over his lovers, a lot of people say he had afairs with men and like you said being that beautiful and hungry for life and making it , it doesn't surprise me, like I say he gives me that vibe, is in his eyes, I even believe is posible he did arrange or was involved in that famous murder incident, one example of his scary behavior: I read an actress, don't remember the name, but in her memoir she wrote about having an affair with him, she said he was very animalistic in bed, a amaizing lover, and that at the time he was about to marry pregnant Nathalie Delon, and he kept sleeping with her even the night before he announced his wedding to her, 😯, that is cold, he pulls me in and out, he has a very layered , very intense personality.

Je pense que si un homme comme Alain Delon (comme dans la vidéo) serait parmi nous à l'heure d'aujourd'hui, les gens seraient étonnés de sa beauté naturelle et de sa classe. Car je ne pense pas que cela existe encore malheureusement... donc on se réfugie dans la nostalgie et les années d'avant.

Beauté et classe inégalable dans le monde du cinéma. Les Brad Pitt ou autres Tom Cruise et Jean Dujardin peut aller se rhabiller. Peut être Robert Redford et Pierce Brosnan ont frôlé sa beauté mais on en est encore loin.

Avoir écris les nom de Tom Cruise, et Jean Dujardin dans la même phrase qu'avec un Homme comme l'était Robert Redford, vous m'excuserez mais il fallait le faire 😅 .. Puis Brad Pitt et Redford, mais j'ajouterais que Marlon Brando, Toshiro Mifune, Alfredo Alcon, Elvis Presley existent eux aussi 😏 .. Car il n'y a pas que les traits physiques mais les proportions et la présence de l'homme en question .. Ma grand-mère préférait Robert Redford, Marlon Brando ou Elvis Presley, Alfredo Alcon et Paul Newman ! Mais n'était pas du tout attirée par Delon par exemple, à part ses yeux elle le trouvait pas assez > quant a ses traits physiques ... Moi je le trouve beau Delon ( jeune hein durant les années 1950's 60's max ) mais le charisme et la beauté d'un Brando le surpassent ; le regard intense et féminin d'un Elvis, ses yeux en amandes sont pour moi + beaux que la forme des yeux de Delon bien que son bleu soit exquis .. La beauté d'un homme n'est jamais > aussi beau que dit homme puisse être
