Aladdin Inspired Nails Part 3 - The Lamp - Worst Client Ever

Hiya,
We’re back with another Aladdin Themed set of nails and today we’re doing the Genie’s Lamp on Fay’s other hand - and she barely complains at all. Maybe my wish came true?
We’ve already prepped her nails and fixed a small break on her ring finger and sculpting a ballerina nail. For the broken nail, we need to put the tab on its side at the back of the form to make a straight smile line where Fay’s damaged the nail. We shouldn’t have a long nail on the damaged nail but Fay won’t let that happen and knows the risk.
I’m sculpting a thin, clear layer and then go in with my colours to ombre from orange to purple and add in the glitters too. I’ll then encapsulate that and file.
For the lamp, I’m going to use Going for Gold over the entire nail and use Top Coat to draw out the lamp. Cure and then wipe over with Gel Residue Wipe Off Solution to remove the excess Gel Polish. I’ll add detail with Brown Owl.
I’m going to use Snow White mixed with top coat and blooming gel for the smoke across all of the nails. I’m going to finish off with bling because it’s Fay.

😳⁉️ *I nearly dropped my basket in the grocery store the other day... Standing in the cereal isle, I swear I heard Fay's voice booming across the shelves from the next isle over! I couldn't believe it, thinking "what on earth is Fay doing in New Orleans, Louisiana?!". I just had to go see if it was her, but then realized I have **_no idea_** what she looks like. One glance at this lady's unmanicured paws though, and I knew it was just a Fay-sounding doppleganger. She had natural, short, half-bitten nails with chipped red polish. Not our Fay- no way!* 😄 *It goes down in history as my most exciting grocery shopping trip though!*

15:36 skills !! To draw something with a transparent medium and know what the outcome will be. Hats off!! And I thought she's going to leave it at that but then she goes ahead to draw in those details. You're an artist of exceptional talent!

It's an oil lamp! The oil is held inside the 'gravy boat' and the wick is run through the spout. That's why it's called a lamp. :D These nails are gorgeous!

Kirsty/Adam, Can I make a little suggestion? When Kirsty does these amazing nails and you divide the footage up into multiple parts, could you show some shots of the whole set at the end of the last part please? Amazing as usual. Its called a lamp cause they used them as a light at night, bit like we used candles back in the day. Brilliant trick that with topcoat and that.

You’re by far the best nail tech I’ve seen on KZread or in person. Even though Suzie from (nail career education) may have more subscribers, she isn’t a patch on your talent. I’m not saying she’s bad as I like her too....but you’re amazing and are on another level imo. These are amazing! I love all the purple especially. I do agree if you'd added heaps of glitter to them it would have taken away from the overall look. I am far less happy that I now have that "give me give me a man after midnight" line stuck in my head lol.
Incredible artwork 😍❤️ I was taught that they were Oil Lamps, like gravy you fill up the lamp with oil and the ‘spout’ is where you light the oil to produce a flame. Tbh I think they are pretty smart, they can burn for hours at a time without using hardly anything 👌🏼
