My grandmothers and family song from the early days my grandmother passed in 1969 so this hymn goes deep so in Jesus Name in simple faith l say your grandmother's ears be opened by faith now or in heaven where all infirmities and pains pass God bless you. This is Paul speaking to Timothy, in a letter. This is not the words of Jesus! Paul wrote this to Timothy in a letter to address the blasphemers and idolaters in the church of Ephesus, whom had female idols that would often lead their male counterparts to sin. This scripture comes with specific context. 1 Corinthians 11 and 14 also written to address a specific issue with the townspeople of Corinth. By their logic, women should wear full length veils covering their heads.

Beautiful!!! Touching ever bone in my body, praise the Lord for the lost he guides and the blind he gives sight.

This has been sung at every funeral I've ever attended. Like the Cross it laments there's so much sadness and pain and loss attached to it......but that doesn't stop it from being beautiful.

This is one of the hymns from my childhood and always bring good memories of grandparents, parents and how they had taught us about God and God's love. Thanks for keep singing this, God bless you!

These country singers can nail the great hymns of the church. Randy Travis and Alan Jackson have put together some great gospel praise and worship CDs. I've always loved Alabama. They were always a good clean cut group back in the 80s

Whenever I get home to Michigan I go to the Old Rugged Cross memorial. The place it was first performed, a beautiful little church that's being restored and garden. If you're ever in the little village, if it's even big enough to be called that, of Pokagon Michigan it's worth the visit. You can spend 15 min or 2 hours just reflecting.
