Is it me or did they run more when Milroe was in? IMO Milroe's biggest issue was processing fast enough. I'm not putting any stock into today. We won't know if his processing is better until the season starts. He was unlucky with those dropped passes tho. The receivers have to help him out

Yea they were running more Ty had more pass attempts then milroe and we saw why at the end of the

I was not impressed with overall defense performance especially the edge rushers with no pressure.Miller looked like best rb and Ty looked good evading rush and accurate passing

I thought the same thing until I was talking with some people at the game and it was mentioned that the Defense played a vanilla basic defense with no stunts or schemes. They turned it up in second half in getting pressure, so I don’t think we truly saw an all out defense compared to flashes of explosive plays of the offense. Just my take on it

You can’t keep giving that excuse that it is spring. This will be year 4 without a natty we don’t have Time for slow starts and coming on later in the season we play POWER TEAMS early within the first 6 weeks. We play like this we will find ourselves 3-3 out of the playoffs early

My One-Word reaction would be Hopeful.

We lost 24 players when Saben left, we got 8 after Deboer arrived, so we are still 16 short on scholarship players. We are sure to lose another 5 to 8 in the portal next week as we always do after spring camp. I would not put too much stock in what we saw today because we will have 24 + new faces on the roster by fall camp. Likely for the better so buckle up and get the popcorn ready for the next couple of weeks, it’s going to be interesting.

It's always fun to play UGA in the regular season. I expect a close game, but we'll just have to wait and see.. however i do agree with you that Alabama looked soft in the Spring game and we did last year as well. That seems to be a new player mentality of our recruits and it's sad to see the change in college football take place. UGA was way too soft in that SEC title game and most of last year as well. Otherwise it would have been UGA and Michigan in the natty if you could have just stopped some runs late, or possibly actually blitzed some in the second half.

Ty looked really good in my opinion. They also took 3-4 reps away from Ty as well. But overall about what i expected from a spring game. Just from this alone, Ty should be QB1.

I figure Ty will transfer out either soon or next year. They can't start him over Milroe, due to the optics of benching one race for the other. And pulling Milroe during the season is most definitely out of the picture.. we saw what happens when the o-line decides to protest due to a depth chart move last year against USF. So Ty will only get to start if Milroe gets injured, and I definitely don't want to see a kid get hurt just to start the better qb. Milroe looks the same to me as he did last year, so he'll win us some games with his legs and cost us some games against better pass rushing defenses. He just can't make the quick reads needed in that situation to make a good throw. Hopefully he'll improve, otherwise we will drop UGA this year, unless they refuse to blitz again like they did last year in the SEC title game.

@@martinmccormick2166 unfortunately I think you might be right. Crazy bc my dad said the same exact thing. & I think uga learned their lesson last time so I doubt they do it twice. But you said everything I didn't want to say. I'm trying to be nice & see both sides. But I just can't. It's hard for me to watch bc I know the better QB is riding the pine. Just like last year. But I also heard Ty said he was gonna pull a mac Jones & wait his turn. Now if milroe comes back AGAIN next season.... he's for sure gone. It's gonna suck Bama will probably lose 2-3 games this year. But they'll find some excuse as to why like they have with the " bad OL & terrible OC " now was the OL the best? No but it's not all on them just like the OC. Was he good last year? I wouldn't day great but he wasn't bad. I saw what he was trying to last year but milroe couldn't do it. I seen one time milroe messed up on an easy play they show him in the booth throwing his hands up like " wth Jalen " lol yeah.... but I'm glad you agree with me & I'm not the only one who sees it.

@@martinmccormick2166 fans wanted to complain " if the WRs would catch the accurate passed milroe was throwing " for one what " accurate " passes do they mean? & the OL did the same thing vs usf as you noted & they wanted to scream " see he's not ready " but what they fail ro realize milroe was getting sacked 3-5 times a game in most games sometimes more but they say nothing about that. I'm beginning to think it's about race. Bc it doesn't have to do with skill bc if that case this shouldn't even be a competition Ty already won.

Milroe had a great day. The WRs did not. He was throwing accurate passes and no one was catching them. I believe in Milroe as QB1. Ty is also developing really nicely and I have confidence in him as a QB.

@@bradweaver9310 did you watch the game? I’d say 7/9 were right on target and the target dropped the ball. Milroe’s issue this time last year wasn’t pass accuracy, it was decision making. He made good decisions and his WRs didn’t come through.

Ty Simpson was 7/12 102yds 0 TDs (technically 1 INT also) long 34yds Jalen Milroe was 3/9 100yds 0 TDs long 52yds. Had the receivers not dropped the passes i think we see better stats So you gotta stop hating on Milroe

This format was done mostly to show all QBs are getting a fair shot. This is because this fall when Simpson is #1, they can say they were very fair in their approach because they will catch flack from the Milroe supporters about him not being the starter.

@@michaelbaker8633 Yes I hear it also. Milroe is doing all he can to be the starter. Do EVERY interview possible, be seen at basketball games, take pics with coaches, etc. Nice enough guy. But bottom-line is his ceiling just isn't as high as other QBs. Milroe might do great at a different team, but at Bama in this offense they need a fast thinking passing QB who distributes the ball. Deboer is smart to be delicate in his handling of this in his first year. He's doing a great job on the Saban era transition.

The format was dumb! And was the clock broke, If this is how they plan to do it from here on out,i will never watch another one! The defensive line looked terrible! DBs got burned all day! Tackling was really bad! Going to be a long year if they dont get the basics down
