Join us on our visit to Dismal Canyon on May 3, 2020. Dismals Canyon is located in Northwest Alabama and is an 85 acre Nature Conservatory privately owned and operated. The Canyon is a sandstone gorge near Phil Campbell in Franklin County, Alabama. It is not a State Park or National Park. However, it was designated a "National Natural Landmark" in 1975 by the National Natural Landmarks Program. NNLs are administered by the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
