@@ivangenov6782 that’s honestly the most interesting part to me. I always like it when stories follow two corrupt sides (regardless of whether they’re equally corrupt or not) and our protagonists are trying their best to do good without actively opposing both sides.

I can’t help but wonder if Trepan’s incomplete attempted alterations to Megatron’s psyche created the lapses in logic that lead him to dismiss his more moral ideals in favor of the “peace through tyranny” mindset

There is multiple factors for Megatron's tipping point . 1. Unjust Arrest and victim of police brutality . 2. Getting Mind R*ped by Trepan and absence of Terminus who comforts him . 3. Arrested unjustly and knocked unconscious by a Senate Guard . 4. His friend Impactor being arrested and prolonged exposure to violence and bloodshed in the gladiatorial pit . My theory is that the Mnemosurgery as shown in the video made him emotionally unstable and also the trauma inflicted by Trepan never got healed even after four million years the thought of needles poking into his brain terrifies him . I also think that due to being born as constructed cold it may result in lack of empathy as the constructed cold Cybertronians do some spot some psychological troubles such as lack of empathy and deep rooted anti social behaviour .

Trepan's mentioned Megatron's "anarchic thoughts"... anarchy and tyranny aren't exactly the same thing, so I think it actually is Trepan's fault

No wonder Megs rose up. Trepan might have already done damage to Meg's brain. At the least he was scarred mentally. Just another step on his path to villainy.

The funniest thing is he ends up hiring Trepan to oversee the Phase Six project, if I remember right.

@@drbeard4505 No he didn't. That was a different doctor named Rossum. When the Phase Six project started, Trepan was already dead. Trepan was working as a mnemosurgeon under Zeta Prime and his job was brainwashing Autobots that doubted Zeta Prime and Decepticons. Trepan was gonna brainwash Soundwave then Overlord and Starscream came to rescue Soundwave. Overlord kidnapped Trepan to learn mnemosurgeon skill from him in order to defeat Megatron. Megatron found out and killed Trepan.

Never thought I could get such a sense of dread from seeing Megatron shed a tear.

Love the fact David Kaye played the guy who makes Megatron who he is. Just.....I have a feeling this was intentional ;)

I love how we get a reason why Megatron was so afraid when Chromedome when he attempted to give him Mnemosurgery. Also just imagine what Megatron did to Trepan later down the line

And THIS is why Megs doesn't like Mnemosurgery.

I imagine megatron is absolutely terrified of chromedome at all times

The echos and audio layering. Even the use of iconic g1 background music and wispy wintery wind. Great perfomances from everyone including guest David Kaye.

And for those of you wondering about Froid's echo, it was intentional and a bit of an homage to G1 Insecticon Shrapnel - we made Froid's echo similar to a 'Freudian Slip" of sorts. #Froid :p

The idea of having your mind altered while conscious like that. Having what makes you, you, forcefully taken away is horrifying. I understand why megatron did what he did now. Imagine the fear, anger, hate that comes from an expirience like that? Of course, free will and your own desires would be something you cherish so dearly, the though of ever submitting again would be totally traumatic. Cant really blame him for being power mad anymore honestly.

I feel sorry for Megatron

Trepan really sounds like Michael Bell. Can't believe it's David Kaye. Kind of want him to voice Prowl now.

God DAMN, David Kaye is AWESOME! He can bring just about ANY Transformers character to life! Now I will always imagine Trepan having Kaye's voice whenever I read the comics!

I love Froid’s voice here. It just sounds so... perfect. Trepan as well is equally as good.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but....poor Megatron and I hope he is ok.

David Kaye never fails to give a really good performance. :) Also LOVED Chris McFeely as Megatron. Sounds a lot like Corey Burton as Megatron in Animated. :D

Yeah if tfp optimus and tfp ratchet heared and saw what trepan did, he would no doubt be dead. Tfp optimus I can see carrying out a scared, tramatased and emotionally dreinded megatronus, op would try to comfort and sooth him.

Awesome! I did recognize the Star Trek sounds, that made me smile. This was so so high quality, I loved every second of it. Even though Trepan creeps the heck out of me.

That is so uncool what happen to Megatron.

The high council effectively turned Megatron into a monster :T

...Kind of Iron that David Kaye is in this, and *not* doing Meggie.

I love how Freu-I mean Froid has a French accent.

Seeing this makes me question my support for the autobots!....

At the very least, this happened prior to the war - before there were Autobots and Decepticons. This was the government and one sick person's actions. It's a major part of why Megatron fought against the planet's leaders. Also, Trepan was happy to help Megatron turn Overlord into the invincible monster he was.

Yeah during a Soundwave rescue operation overlord kidnapped him in order to teach him mnemosurgery, Megs caught wind of this and killed Jim

Can I point out it was PRIMUS HIMSELF THAT STOPPED THE ABUSE

I am so wishing I could find a voice role to play from MTMTE but I can’t figure out what character I would fit lol. And you guys are so good idek if I can stack up lol

Since you mentioned Arcee, I sometimes imagine Chromedome doing that thing he did to Prowl but even worse as retribution for her bloodlust. Then Galvatron, then Shockwave, then Starscream.
