i waited for so long for you to review this , ur the only youtuber that i find entertaining to review a mechanical keyboard
I bought the barebones version of this to build with my brother as a birthday gift, since I didn’t like the keyboard he was using before. As someone with multiple custom boards with price tags up to $600, the build we did for $132 (including shipping) is fantastic. The board feels and sounds great, especially for the price.
I really enjoyed this style of video, also I purchased this keyboard like a month ago before anyone would upload a vid on it because I knew that akko would almost always be sold out if I waited until someone made a review about it lol.
Ah yes the keyboard review that i've been waiting for. I've heard that they're gonna make a DIY/barebone version of this, hope you'll be able to make a review of that too. Great quality vid as always man!

Akko is a genius when it comes to the 65% and 75% layout. No one else seems to get it right. In 65% they still include a ~ key (for programmers or bilingual speakers). The 75% layout has the del key, pg up/down keys, home and end keys, and in some cases the volume knob. Who else does that?

That fact alone made me look for this video! How is it that Akko of all companies are the only ones that omit the sensible/correct buttons, instead of ruining a keyboard? I'm looking to build a final board and I almost ordered it on Amazon by pure reflex ! ^^

high quality vids as usual. keep up the good work
Love the review! I am also curious about how this stacks up compared to the new AKKO 5075b Plus
I really like this format of review. It has the right amount of energy for me not to be overwhelmed. And also still very informative
In terms of build quality and typing experience, how does the 5075S compare to the PC75B Plus?
@thanhhainguyen3072
Жыл бұрын
I own a PC75B and to me, its typing experience and sound are good. Because PC75B has a thick silicon foam covering all the bottom plate so it makes the keyboard more steady and sound like… more bass idk 😂 Meanwhile 5075 has top notch led and looks more beautiful than PC75B. Between build quality and type quality, you have to choose one because these two have their pros and cons.
Another great 👍🏼 video....really appreciate that you take the time to add links for all toold & products, US/UK/INT. Could you link the Craftsman screwdriver 🪛 you use?tia
75% layout really hits different. I have a Dark Alien K84 and I could just do by without the knob.
If you want the wireless, the 5075b is the right one. I am torn between this or the keychron v1 but I went the other way. I got the Feker ik75 pro (I know it sounds cheap.. haha) but the deal is really hard to resist. I am just hoping I'll have a good unit though. Great review man! thanks a lot!

@@thomascruzsalguero5968 5075B+ is the right model (I forgot the plus) and yeah it should be much better quality than the Feker. I just prefer the ik75pro because the battery is 2x more and I don't dig the side leds. But I'll take that as my second option if the feker won't improved after modding it. :)
Please make a review the akko mod 008 with tecsee switches. Maybe a mod guide on the akko mod 007 v2 as well. Tysm . I think u r one of the best keyboard and tech reviewers .
What’s the difference between that and the Akko 5075b plus?? Is it just the wireless/Bluetooth function?
Can you please review the Akko 5070b plus I haven’t seen many reviews on it
The 5075S looks a lot like the MOD 007S V2. It may even use the same PCB, or at least very similar. I'd bet that the screw holes in the PCB even match up even if they don't all get used. The same is likely true between the 5075B and the MOD 007 V2 (no S).
The 5075S or the PC75B Plus?
Would you recommend going for this (the barebones kit for $60) over the mk870? I'm going to be getting the Akko matcha greens and the PBT octopus keycaps and going with a black keyboard.
Maybe I'm missing something, but for me the competition is not Razer/Corsair but the GMMK 2. I prefer this Akko layout, but it sounds like the quality may not be as good as their other products. Also, they are currently out of stock :( Any idea if the GMMK 2 is better for gaming?
Can we have a modding guide for this build?? This board is really good for modding!
Not sure if you made this clear, but the 3068S and the 3084S are NOT gasket mounted boards, they are tray mounted. That's a significant departure in design from the 5000 series. Someone thinking they will be getting a gasket mounted board in the 3000 series will be disappointed.
Please review the ajazz ak816 or the akko 5075b plus pls. The 5075b plus is not actually launched on their website but is there on amazon and epomaker, I really wanna see these keyboard review, pls ctr

To be fair though, if this is a change of mind for him, I do like it more since he’s comparing them with other very popular items that are on the market. He should do this more rather than compare keyboards that have very different features.

The v1 is an enthusiast board. The 5075s prebuilt is a gamer keyboard, while the kit, is amazing for enthusiasts. His view for that was for gamers
@XGamin1
Жыл бұрын
@@gogy903 Not necessarily. Keychron also does cater towards productivity in the work office as well. The problem that we all had in his V1 video was that he did not compare the Akko board and the Keychron board fairly. While they somewhat in the same category for the quality of keyboards, he failed to acknowledge that Akko boards do have major flaws in them that Keychron boards do not. Also, he should have compared the V1 to other more expensive boards on the market to prove a point about the gaming keyboard market being way too overpriced.
@BaconBearOfficial

@@XGamin1 what are the flaws of akko boards
@XGamin1
Жыл бұрын
@@BaconBearOfficial Until recently, all the boards were north-facing. They also don't have as much stock padding as most other brands and have clip-in stabilizers. Perhaps the biggest one, however, is not having QMK/VIA. If they're fixing all of these problems though, that's great, but I doubt that all of them will be fixed.
I buy this keyboard new 5075B Plus model. Not coming yet. But your review fell me thinking if I made a good choice.
does this have dedicated mac mode like some of their other keyboards do (even if it isn't swapped via the switch on the back)? I saw the switch on the back and thought it would mean it does but then watched your video. The akko website gives next to no info on their boards which is really annoying :/
Can you elaborate on software? Do the settings (RGB and remapping) save onboard, or it has to be running in background?
I used the 5075S extensively and just don't like it. The major problem I have is the knob does not have enough clearance and scratches against the top case. It has WAY too much play/wobble as well. That's part of the reason why it scratches against the case. It's clearly a cut below Akko's usual top notch offerings. I would recommend anyone look at the ACR Pro 75 or 68 form factors for a much better typing experience. The stabs were also a let down. I was hoping it would be a game changer, but it just ain't so. The double shot TPU muffles the rattles a lot, but a tuned and bandaid modded plate mount stab works just better. Even better would be to swap out for screw in stabs that are properly tuned and modded. I would buy TPU double shot screw in stabs from Akko if/when they decide to actually make them. That would be a time saver to not have to bandaid stabs ever again. I can live with a little tic on the stabs, doesn't have to be perfect.
Should I get this over the gmmk pro??? Im an enthusiast and a gamer. I have built 2 customs so far and im thinking of getting a new one in this form factor.
Question. Have you ever tested/heard of the Epomaker Skyline 75% DIY kit? I like that layout for a keyboard, as well as the translucent board. Just wanted to know the pros and cons for that board.

hey can you review the gamakay TK68? been thinking about getting it
The sound is very similar to the TH80, i think that the feker 75 is just better in the barebone form but this is way cheaper considering the switches and the akko keycaps.
Is there a corrected version of this keyboard out there? With no flex and better sound dampening.

What keyboard would you recommend under 100 that’s a 65% or 60 and is a pre built and linear switches
I currently bought the Epomaker TH80 in ISO today but wondering if this was the better choice. I got it for 93€ and here in germany the AKKO 5075s go for 107€ in sale. I´m not sure which one to keep. The Epomaker feels really high quality and thocky compared to the razer huntsman tournament but I have to adjust myself to the MDA keycaps.
DO ONE FOR AKKO 5075b Plus cyan please!!!
Waiting for the modding result of this one, I’m looking to this keyboard and I was waiting your review about it, to be honest, maybe I’ll go into 5075b which is the wireless version of this guy, the only problem that I’ve seen is for the case dampening , because I dont know what to do with the lower half of the case … maybe a tape mod and lubbing may be sufficient to get a good result… I don’t know … but, overall thanks for the high quality video as always, love your channel
Hmm. Got a little sweaty when I saw this board on ali, but now that I see it barely has any flex, the remorse that was building up for buying a pc75b like almost 6 months ago completely dissipated. Still haven't gotten around to moding that thing yet.

How do you turn off the System Indicator Light? The blue light (for Windows) is really annoying :(
So is it wireless or not the way you phrased it made it sound like it's not wireless
Please do a modding keyboard for this keyboard as it is kind of a pc75b but gasket mounted and different keycaps.
bought one black, it came with wine reds. they are so loud, in sufferable, I cannot even tell how they feel. Jelly Pink and Blue would definitely be better. But bought mine on Taobao for 400RMB so I cannot complain right? Edit: was previously using an ACR 64, ACR75pro, with Jelly Pink, Jelly black. I wanted the Knob and function key split. This is not as good.

please review the Pulsar PCMK TKL Barebone. :)
what is that background on your tv? is that wallpaper engine?
What if i use OEM profile? Will that be any interference?
Is that knob mapped to volume or something else?
Another review with NORTH facing LED, something must have changed, got mine on the back of all these reviews, we in fact purchased two arrived today from Amazon, and both have SOUTH FACING led which is a problem. Mind if you buy this keyboard that you may get whatever as it was not specified anywhere on the product page on amazon.

i have the 5075b plus and its pretty much the same board but the 5075b plus does have wireless
This is perfect for me, It's not very expensive, and you can mod it a bit if you want to. While wish to switch out keycaps at some point. I'm in no way keyboard enthusiast so paying 150+ for keyboard is pretty ridiculous to me. Tough only version I can get is Black & Gold 5075S ISO since I need nordic layout. I if I can find pink seetrough keycaps I would really want to get them as to me those seetrough letters are really appealing. If someone can recommend some, I would be grateful, just to point out I would need nordic layout. If Glorious made 75% gmmk2 (I know they have pro, but it's just way too expensive), I would definitely buy that, but unftunately they only make 65%. While I don't use functions too much, for some games you have quicksave and stuff on funtion keys. And some software also uses them. Keychron V1 would also be nice, but the transparent plastic looks weird.
