You should use a card and a curry comb to brush it. The furminator damages and cuts the healthy hair while the carder and the curry will remove the undercoat and the dead hair.

Exactly the Furminator cuts the hair every time it touches the hair, crazy they use it without even noticing. It’s only good for the short hairs

Please do short, light strokes. You are brushing too hard. The Furminator has sharp blades and you need to use it lightly. It will remove the fur exceptionally well this way. Also make sure you do short strokes.

Mine loves being brushed and softly she will gently wrap her jaw around my wrist then she let go and stretch out, about twenty minutes roughly to brush but these dogs can be destructive when young, she pulled the cover's off our bed chewed a hole in the mattress and buried the pig's ear we bought days earlier, but we love her she is a couch potato.
