I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living in Cebu City, Philippines. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my KZread Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club President and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
I enjoy watching videos especially singing performances and react to them.
I keep my reactions real and natural.

Just thought that I'd share with you that this song is composed by Akim himself and the beautiful lyrics was created by his wife, Stacy (who's also a Malaysian singer). It's based on Akim's own experience of losing his mother and grandmother. So, yeah it's a very personal song to him. She made the lyrics to uplift his spirit in the midst of losing two most significant women in his life.

Hi kuya nephi.... Juz wanna share somei info with u..... AJL is about Song competition means Composer and lyricist... Winner on that nite goes to those people....live performance on that final nite is bonus for singer to win best vocal n best performances.....thats y category vocal,performances n Juara Lagu(composer+lyricist) is separated....however most of the singer are compose the song by themself...like Haqiem rusli 2 song Naim daniel Akim n majistrate Include compose song for other singer also compete in AJL.....happy for them.... For me winner for this year goes to Sumpah-naim daniel Melody n sounds very fresh....at least can win main title coz he compose the song...but vocal he got no chances.... Im not naim fans.....juz music lovers..... Vocal i prefer Ernie-ku bersuara and Bob-anta permana
