The whole point of this series was to poke fun at otaku culture, tokusatsu, anime and comedy in general. A combination that saps your sanity and hurts you....but thats the point and i love it.

The funniest thing about Akibarabger is, from the look of thing they could very easily adapted by Power Ranger. Like the only thing needed to be change are context and will work.

While HasBro still deciding the fate of Power Rangers, which is bleak because they didn't care anymore after QC issues, avoiding seasonal team releases and incomplete Zord toylines, why not adapting Hikounin Sentai AkibaRanger as a meta-black comedy about a struggling Power Rangers club in a boarding school. Elements: -The emphasis on POC actors, but the Red Ranger is always a white guy. -Never having an Asian red ranger -The adult fanbase the show has despite it being a show for young boys -The constant infighting about which one is the best -People that don't know Sentai exist (show someone watching Zyuranger and have them say "wow! it's Japanese Power Rangers!") -Sentai Purists vs PR Purists -Toxic fans of certain PR actors/actresses who are trying to hide their dirty deeds behind the scenes. (e.g. actresses had n😳d pictorials) -different perspectives in whether the franchise needs to be edgy or childish. -the neo-saban season trend to each adapted sentai having a second season called "super". -the failed attempts to sell the franchise in Japan. -Saban's fame on cutting expenses.

@@FirestreakRodimusPr I remember that. AkibaRed, specifically his ghost, wanted Hatte Saburo (Main producer of Super Sentai) to decide on that. I mean tbh, if a V-Cinext movie ever gets greenlighted, it would’ve still had the anime-ish comedy the show had but it takes place in 2024 (this year).

This series introduced me to a lot super sentai-isms, and maaya uchida 😂

My god Akibaranger is really brilliant. I've seen a lot of clips of it already but never bothered to watch it fully but I guess I should at some point. Thank you for this video! 2012 really was a fantastic year for Toku imo with Go-Busters, my first toku that I watched "live" and I love it, Akibaranger's first season and Garo Makai Senki which ended in 2012. All brilliant in their own ways

This is from the Super Sentai series, where Power Rangers is adapted from. Power Rangers didn't adapt these series because 1) the jokes in the parody season are mainly for Japanese audiences and fans (like shooting locations, among others), and 2) it's an adult show.
