if u watched the scene again, Kagami wasn't able to keep up with him not because he's too fast rather he outplayed him with his prediction. The moment Kagami caught up behind him and was trying to check the ball, he immediately turned around and went behind Kagami's back. Meaning, he got outplayed while being faster than Akashi

@@SonOfThors_ noupe aomine did outplayed kagami few times no doubt but zone kagami reacted at his speed during there 1v1 and also defeated them but the only reason they were able to defeat akashi was because of the true zone they were able to access during the final battle in some terms like physicality and strength aomine can be better but in terms of zone,iq akashi is far above there's a reason why he was leadin the generation of miracles. Also the only reason kagami could enter the true zone was because of kuroko

1. It's matchups. Kagami who cannot resist Emperor Eye's Ankle Break but can keep up with Aomine's agility through his jumping power by catching up to his shots. The Emperor Eye simply cannot be countered or matched by supreme jumping ability, whereas agility can be, specifically, his formless shots. 2. Kagami, by that point, had been in the zone for like 50 minutes and Akashi just got in the Zone. In other words, Kagami against Akashi was extremely fatigued. Against Aomine, Aomine was the one who was fatigued as he had been in the Zone for at least 2-3 minutes, and Zone has as much, if not quicker drain than Perfect Copy. 3. Zone Aomine in both the manga and anime is shown to outspeed Zone Kagami outright, despite being fatigued. They specifically have a panel showing Aomine passing Kagami and Kagami just barely catching back up with his jumps as Aomine had shot the ball by then. Kagami is not shown in either the anime nor manga to break past Aomine until he reaches his Zone's time limit. Everyone is in shock that Kagami broke past Aomine, and that Aomine cannot break past Kagami, implying that it is easy for him to do so. In Akashi's case, the anime shows Kagami catching up to Akashi despite the head start Akashi had. Aomine is not Kagami level in speed. 4. Aomine in Last Game is noted for his high speed and agility, even without the Zone. Jabberwock players note that his speed is impressive and the manga compares Jason Silver's speed to Aomine's instead of anyone else, implying that Aomine is the fastest. Midorima states Aomine is the fastest high schooler in Japan and that his agility surpasses that of the rest of the Generation of Miracles. So no, Aomine is straight up faster than Akashi AND Kagami. 5. Akashi's Ankle Break works by changing direction so the opponent trips over himself. The perfect counter against that is agility, as agility is defined as how quickly you can change direction, how quickly you can move your feet, how quickly you can accelerate from 0 to max and decelerate from max to 0. That means that Akashi's Ankle Break will most likely not work on Aomine, as his agility may not allow himself to be Ankle Broken. 6. Akashi's defense is based on the Triple Threat. Whenever a player enters that position, he steals it, or stops them from making any move that comes into his range. However, Aomine's offensive style is described by Midorima as "Aomine's shots or dribbles have no form. He's the unstoppable scorer." Hyuga says "Usually, players shoot at a consistent height, but he's all over the place! Theory doesn't work against him." Meaning it would be extremely difficult or even impossible for Akashi to stop Aomine since his playstyle is based on the fundamentals, and his Emperor Eye is based on his keen observation skills and predictions of what a player will do of the limited offensive options.

@@Zero-ef4sc You do realize this is just conjecture with no actual facts to them...right?There wasn't a case where that happened without any other context stating "Akashi failed to predict" Akashi in the zone completely dusted Kagami speed wise.(If you've read the manga) Why are so many people taking what Midorima is stating as factual when Midorima is not even stating that Akashi won't be able to predict Aomine?He stole Nash's ball when he did his "Invisible" pass.If Akashi's Eye only worked for steals on Triple Threat position he wouldn't have been able to stop that pass from happening nor stop Kagami's Meteor Jam. The Eye has been constantly spoken and stated over and over again to be Absolute.Yet people still talk about Akashi failing to predict stuff when he never actually failed before( *If people will bring about Nash passing him with his Belial Eye.Then please reread or rewatch.Because Akashi said it himself that he reacted too late.Even back then it was a battle of the Eyes and Aomine doesn't have that absolute foresight* )I keep on wanting to hear people state the sheer speed or distance kept between his absolute steal range rather than just "formless" and impossible to predict shtick on Aomine that was said only a few times by Midorima. Even Kagami was able to nearly steal his ball almost Akashi style by just watching.It's like Akashi didn't even command the Generation of Miracles or something.Like him and Aomine are complete strangers or something. If we are gonna use the terms of both sheer speed and agility.What about what others are stating about Akashi as well?He moves the instant you move too.Do you understand how easy it is for Akashi to just follow and keep himself in range to make absolutely sure you are not getting past him? His Emperor Eye is Absolute and what he sees will happen.Heck even Kise is proof of it being that "It's not as absolute as his" with his perfect copy. Ankle break not working on Aomine because of speed and agility?What...If you had said that Akashi can't perform the ankle break because Aomine would do as Kagami and keep his distance then I would've believed you.But sheer speed is not enough to stop pure and absolute prediction which eases an ankle break.Have you seen him destroying Zone Kagami.Or the way he destroyed Midorima.How easy it was for him to just tuck the ball behind him and Midorima fell?Akashi's expertise in that area is no joke.Not all Ankle breakers that he had done was performed in the exact same way.What will Aomine do in front of that?Dance around at a fast pace in hopes that Akashi won't predict it and humiliate him as well? "Akashi is not unbeatable because he has the Emperor Eye.It's because someone like Akashi wields them"(Or something like that)

@@humbledpanda2997 True until Akashi awakens complete emperor eye against Nash( whom was stronger than all the Generation of Miracles including Akashi), however Akashi surpassed Nash during the Last Game movie when he awakened complete emperor eye. Nash>Akashi and Aomine, Complete Emperor Eye Akashi Seijūrō> Belial Eye Nash> Aomine. So if we use that Akashi against Aomine( as skilled as Aomine is) Aomine and even the other Generation of Miracles stand absolutely no chance against complete Emperor Eye 赤司 征十郎

Kise has enormous potential and copy anybody but it's temporary, he could barely stand in the movie after using the zone. 2. Akashi has the best understanding of the court, he's basically a genius and his emperor eye is now even greater than it was after the movie. 3. Akashi uses the zone much better than of the generation of miracles, better than Kagami, proved in their match, better than Aomine, and surely better than Kise and Murasakibara*(sorry I ain't Japanese idiot) Now I'm not asking you to agree with me nor am I forcing you, it's just my opinion and you can happily stick to yours 🤷‍♂️
