For the past 40 years, I have been a HIFi guy who listens to music only. I got a MPC live II this month. Now, I am pround of myself having ability to make a music rather than "comsume" a music.

The thing I love about these demos is how they show the power of this machine. In the hands of the right user the possibilities seem endless. Yes, it has its limitations but nothing that should hinder a person from creating great music.

2.8 gets it almost there... multi midi and usb midi in... finally... i had given up and put mine away... lots of really good stuff, making it now in line with past mpc’s. We still need to be able to easily re arrange sequences and tracks order, a real copy and paste function and some edit shortcuts, probabilities functiin and audio streaming. 2.8 has really turned this unit around and the cv are really cool. Akai is getting seriously back in the game!

looks a better job for making complete tracks. So many of these devices seem to be repeating loop based. I want to write full electronic songs. This looks the job.

I' m happy to have the MPC live 1, the only thing I'd like is a better tool for recording vocals and some easy way to record a multitrack audio session in standalone mode. It'd be a very good portable DAW if only Akai understand this 2 limits for songwriters: easy audio multitrack recording for vocals and guitars, a good amp simulation effect for guitar and bass. MPC can be non only for beat makers!🤔

Hmm, so it doesn't have such abilities now? I've been interested in the Looper workflow

Copped one from sweetwater even after adjusting pads its way to sensitive and I get alot of double triggering smh not to mention I already have pads fading . Only have about 24hrs of playtime on it !! Is it normal for pads to start fading right away ? 🤔 I keep my hands clean and pads wiped with microfiber after I'm done with it everytime .. also getting some glitching when opening up plugins on my SD card .. updated new firmware and still have these issues 😑
